Are you kidding me? No, I won't elaborate because if you have followed hockey at all this season then you can name a few yourself. Give me a break.....

I would take a lot of guys over Therrien, I'm just pretty sure coaching isn't one of the top 3 problems on this team is all I'm saying.
- habby

you're right. the truth is that there is good core but the team itself just isn't that good. bergevin's hands are really tied because he can't trade any of the core players and they are the only assets he has that would get a good player back in a trade. he only has veterans who are near the end of their careers or who have little to no value. so the recipe for bergevin this season is pretty simple. stay the course and make the playoffs. that would be considered a big win for the organization.

not sure. but he's the GM. that's his job. imagine he's interviewing for the job...

"fyi, your organization is barren and i cannto foresee a single move i can make to help."

- DoubleDown

He walked into a huge mess. But in reality the only players other teams want are the players we don't want to trade.

why is that if we as idiot, hysterical fans can't think of a legit deal to be made, it's assumed that neither can the GM earning a 7 figure slary?

Bergevin either needs to dump veterans like Gionta, Markov, and Plekanec which will bring in good returns. Or if they want to continue in the habs circle of mediocrity they should add a top 4 dmen who has a RH shot. Someone to the mold of Kevin Bieksa, Willie Mitchell, or Denis Wideman.

Believe Willie Mitchell shoots left.

I don't disagree. But who wants Gionta first of all.

And without Plekanec this team is fighting for the lottery pick

I really hope they trade Markov though.

- Biggus Richardus

Many teams would be happy to add a veteran like Gionta. He still has some scoring abilities and would add depth. Also there is virtually no risk with him disrupting a dressing room and can fit on any team.

As for Plekanec letting him go to only end up with a lottery pick is not a bad thing. Habs would also secure a 1st round pick and a prospect for his services. Same can be said for Markov.

Just think about how Philly rebounded so quickly after trading away Peter Forberg.

That pretty much means that the Habs are going to keep Beaulieu with the team, right?
