Damn that game was nasty....

Game was not so great, but i love it for the fact that everyone hated Seattle because they had that we are the best attitude.

Apparently you are not allowed to say you are the best anymore because you hurt other peoples feelings.

The Bills could use Sherman.

Hard to believe he's that young...Seems like he's been in the league forever..
- Fruitcakenipple

Agreed. hard to believe hedman and stamkos are the same age as the rookies helping us such as palat and Johnson, gudas, etc..

Bills secondary is fine if they can get Byrd back and stay healthy.

WR, TE, OL and OLB are the big needs for the Bills.

Leino is so bad....... I mean.. just awful...

I think we need to healthy scratch him the rest of the season just to not risk him getting injured so that we can compliance buy him out the second the season is over.

- JVince11

Yes, I would bench him before he gets injured....he is prone after all.

Not like we're going to lose anything with him not out there.

Hey, whose ready for the best of the worst game tonight with the Oilers at Buffalo?!?

Maybe we could just borrow Yak and try him on our team, you guys could have Erhoff....and who else?...Ott, Foligno?....trying to pick someone with some grit, think that would help you guys

I disagree! It would be a mistake not to have him on the ice - aren't we trying for the 1st overall pick? HAHA!

Why would Anaheim give up anything of value let alone a "strong" defencemen (the position which is their weakest point) for Ryan Miller when they have a goalie that's in the middle of a record breaking season?

Not a surprise . I think he over values himself. I think he is in for a big surprise come free agency.

Ek - have you looked at the Ducks' goaltending depth chart lately?

They're among the teams I would be most stunned to see take a run at miller.

Could be that he just doesn't like Long Island that much. Maybe the Minnesota rumors are true.

Problem is, as of today, they need his Salary to meet the floor of the cap. So I am not sure we would buy him out. I do understand he is terrible and is being paid way too much money. I want him gone, but we need to meet the cap floor more. (this is in response to a buy out comment)

Nah. Cap floor is far easier than people make it out to be. You only get one opportunity to do a compliance buyout so you might as well do it now before the contract gets even worse.

He is been quoted that he likes it there and was more than open to resigning with them . I think he is just greedy and thinks far too much of himself.

I do hope your right, but if the Sabres trade / don't resign Miller, Ott, and Moulson (maybe we keep 1 of those) that is around $12.2M, trade of Pomminville and Vanek salary retained will be gone (~$2M), Tallinder (~$3.125M), McBain is last year of deal (~$1.8M). Leaving the Sabers at about $29M (including Leino) payroll. So floor is roughly $52M, so they need to sign ~$23M in contracts not including if they bought out Leino, it would be a 1/2 cap hit, so ~$2.25M, so a total of ~$25M to reach the Cap floor. That seems tough to reach, but that's just me.

I hope they can, cause I feel it needs to happen too.

I don't think Vanek is greedy, I think he wants to win. He left it open to sign with Islanders, if he thinks they can turn it around, but it appears as a no, for now. He is dumb to say I wont sign with so and so, just be professional and say you would weigh your options.

His last deal was crazy amount of money from Oilers, he had no choice but to sign that, not because he was greedy, but because the Oilers thought that Sabres would not match that deal.

Sure these athletes want the best money they can get, but chances are they can get close to that and have a better chance to win than in NYI or Buffalo. So he is smart to hold out. You only get to open your self to offers once or twice in career, should take advantage of that if you want to.

I highly doubt you are gullible to believe everything a professional athlete says, Vanek is no dummy and says what everyone wants to hear. I think wifey wants to live back home year round. I don't think it's about money or winning, it's about keeping peace at home and maybe he feels the same way. I bet he signs with Minny for less then what Buffalo or NY offered him.

I don't think Snow did his due diligence when he made that trade. He put himself in a bad position because now he has to re-coup some of what he lost and make a decision on what year to give Buffalo their number 1. Is it a probable top 5 this year or that shot at McDavid next year because unless they vastly improve over the summer they are going to be right back where they are now and next years draft is supposedly much deeper. Buffalo wins that trade. JMO
