Fraser isn't an NHL ready Dman, who can play right away, as seen by the fact that he's sucked hard every time he's been on the ice and hasn't played much (2 times i think) in the last 22 games. Only played once in early Jan since the new year.

He wasn't worth poop. It doens't matter what they got for him, it's about cap space and roster space for a guy that couldn't contribute anymore.

Its a shame; he was looking good last year but the facial crushing and then the leg/hip injury really set him back to the point of being a non-factor...

what about Kool-E-Man? is he worth 4mil per as per his rumoured asking price? or trade his pending UFA a$$ for a younger cheaper 3rd liner

Lousy trade for Toronto. Fraser is an NHL ready d man who can play right away. While it's obvious that Fraser wasn't going to play alot in TO, Leafs could have gotten more than a minor league goon and a guy in the KHL who will likely never be back in the NHL. Nonis should have gotten a better return. I would have taken mabie a 2nd rounder if I could have gotten it.

Fraser was brutal this year and I don't doubt after about 5-10 games he's back in the press box in Edmonton.

Fraser had no value. You're not getting a second rounder for him.

Ok mabie a 2nd rounder is a stretch but the point is that Fraser is an NHL d man. Leafs got 2 players who have 0 NHL experience & neither will ever see the NHL cause they both suck. Fraser is decent d man who can be an effective 5th, 6th d man on most teams. Heck even a 3rd or 4th rounder would have been better.

I'd imagine they'd move him if that's the case.... seen lost of stuff out there saying they are taking offers and willing to trade him ect.

No he's not. Last year was his first year (only half year) where he was a regular and that was as the #6 guy. This year he's been brutal. He's not an NHL dman. as someone posted above I think you'll see him scratched by edm after a handful of games.

Fraser had a good run and was a nice story last year but be sucked this year. He's not a 5, 6 d man on the Leafs so how would he be on most teams not like we have a unreal defense here, especially since he's the type of d man we need.

There's not much he can do with him for a couple of more years. A buyout is too soon even after the end of next season.

I do feel Clarkson will be much better. Everything that could go wrong did.

I like Kuli it's just that he's been converted into a checking winger under Carlyle and we need to make room for some young guys. Then there is maybe he wants to go back to the Motherland, I don't know. Let's trade him while the perceived value is high
