By giving Clarkson the big bucks without room because of the better wingers already here the club kind of set him up to fail... They didn't need a top 6 winger... Maybe when he plays it messes with the chemistry and that contributes to losing?...

If the line plays the dump and chase he runs the line, if they try to carry and get fancy he seems to get lost.

I would say that they did need a physical player in their top 6 mix. Everyone agrees the contract sucks, but it is what it is and every team has those bad deals. Just gotta move on, and find a way to make it work for your team.

He is on pace to exceed, by a pretty fair margin, his best season as a Leaf. Like i said, career year.
