Grabovski was annoying - he'd hit anything and bounce back up (or get run over and bounce backup).
Komarov was a hitting machine.
Orr and MacLaren were mean all year - this year they look disinterested.
Mark Fraser could skate a little last year....this year not so much.
Last year the Leafs would dump and chase with the intent of going down low and banging (frank)ers - this year they dump and change lines.....relentlessly - limited fore-check and more rely on the counter attack rushes.

Mason Raymond is as soft as baby poop.
Clarkson is built like a 12 year old girl and falls over when ever he goes near other people.
I think Gleason is bringing the toughness.

You aren't wrong they are definitely not as tough or as tough to play against....and its annoying.

Leafs are just getting warmed up...13 new bodies..or close to new....our 2 top acquisitions have missed a combined 60 games already this year....Orr has slowed yes, McClaren hasn't even seen the ice barley...we will gel and the LORD STANLEY shall be returned to its birth place. TORONTO

*I have zero clue where Lord Stanley was born...but I think they may believe..sits back and waits*

did you guys find that Gardiner/Franson and Gleason/Riley actually looked good last night after RC changed it up?

Or am I getting drunk easier now? ( 2 beer )

I just thought Gleason looked

I must admit after the first couple games, I was concerned about him and that Lurch like posture, but since his coming out party in Boston, I've been smitten.

edit: but seriously,,,Gleason wants nothing to do with carrying the puck out of our end...so he's always giving it to Franson...who really isn't a puck carrying D...so the lines are much better Phaneuf/Gardiner/Rielly all can QB out of our end.

Makes sense?

Franson>Gardiner -

Franson hits the guys shaft last night and Bozak trips on his laces and Bernier vacates the net for the easy goal and you guys lay all the blame on Franson get your hate glasses off

he's been caught pinching also, I'm sure you guys are taking a swill of beer and blame it on Franson

Yup. Franson isn't as strong this year as he was last year, but he in no way is a guy the leafs should trade

probably anything he does is better than Gards

I like Gards...and he's played better and now that he is...he can play with Franson...not pinch as much and carry the puck out of our end...leaving Franson to concentrate on skating

you could trade him, but I wouldn't trade him just to get rid of him.

Yup - that's why I think Franson is overrated, that one single play.

That was a piss poor effort. He was 2 feet from the blue line and just needed to get it out....

And Bozak didn't trip on his laces, he got the ol' slew foot.

he still tends to hang onto the puck a bit too long freezing up his forwards.. hopefully that can be coached out of him
