he'd likely get more

his rookie season was back in the day of clutch and grab hockey

mogilny was an all time great.. yak has a long ways to go to prove he even deserved to be talked about with him in the same sentence.

i am sorry.. but its true.

- Dozzer

His rookie season was 89-90.

You're overstepping a bit here.

He had one spectacular season and a few very good ones.

Undeniable talent, but his body kept breaking down.

All-time great?

Nope. That's too far.

Never in his career...ever. So BUNK.

As to the idea of their careers, four seasons, I added the extra one which had Kulemin's ridiculous skewed 30 goal year, because Clarkson's 30 goal skewed year is identical in their one timeliness. Clarkson saw PP time with Kovalchuk, Zajac, Elias, (frank)ing Parise, so good on him for producing, good on Kulemin when he had his chances too.

Kulemin is better than Clarkson and it will suck when we lose him for this overpaid icon because he can defend the sanctity of waterbottles with his mouth since his fists were occupied grabbing his cash piles at the time.

- AdamFrench

So, how do you really feel about Clarkson ?

No it wasn't. His 76 goal season was the highest scoring season in NHL history.

Was just going to point at that clutch and grab didnt really gain prominence until mid-late 90s.

Not even close my friend. Teamu did the 76 thing as a rookie. 99 had 92 one year.
- bixll

I believe he meant the 92-93 season was the highest scoring year in NHL history

He was one of the most talented players of any era, he should have been better, but he didn't take hockey serious enough. He'll admit that.

He's going to be 20 this year. He's clearly hit his peak already. They really should trade him. Centers are overrated anyways.

The year after the first lockout pretty much. I blame Eric Lindros. When he came into the league, big slow d-men with big sticks became en vogue. God knows small d-men couldn't stop him.

Been a long time since I disagreed with an opinion that was so flawed, wrong and completely deplorable. Good effort though. Loved the way you changed my arguement about recent seasons and rolled with something more convenient.

Didn't you know he's an ethnic Tatar!? He'd rather have his limbs pulled from his torso by horses than ever play in the KHL

Sometimes you just gotta love Hockeybuzz.

Almost as good as the argument last night from Cooshie: since 1990, the Sabres have been a better franchise than the Oilers.

Sadly, he didn't really say much when it was pointed out to him that the Oilers had a pretty good 1990.
