Whats this??....List of 4th line plugs?? - Fruitcakenipple
Just an overview how the players have contributed to the team in 3rd/4th line roles.
Id like to see leivo and bodie and mckegg finally to get a go to get more games in.
If you go by differentials for pts and games, leivo and bodie have the advantage |

Huh...thats funny because D'Amigo has more goals and only one less point in the NHL and Ashton has played 11 more games...I could not give 2 poops who has more AHL points, D'Amigo has played better and been more valubule IMO when he has the chance to play with TOR. - BoTtLePoLiCe
Well, thats pretty much the same ppg, so can't see how he's better.
So in 180 minutes of Ice time, Ashton has 3 points. (a point every 60 minutes)
In 150 minutes of Ice time, D'Amigo has 2. (a point every 75 minutes) |

He's not actually....8:03 a game for 19 games vs Ashton's 6:12 a game for 30.

But he has more points, playing a position where points aren't the big concern. |

To be honest, it really doesnt matter who gets the 4 minutes allocated to the fourth line.

How about we just get Orr off it and let them both play. |

Sure its a concern you at least want some extra scoring down the lines and some sort of contributions offensively and players like damigo/ashton should be contributing more they are not duds, they know how to play a decent game, its almost as equal to orr and mclaren doing nothing |

Meh..
Leivo and McKegg the only interesting players..The rest dime a dozen career AHLers that could be called up for a couple games... |

I know, which is why it makes even less sense d amigo was supposed to be an offensive guy and has produced at all. |

Not the end all stat when talking about 3 or 4 lines they are shutdown and energy lines points out of them are a bonus. |

Is there an area that D'Amigo has outperformed Ashton in that 4th line role? |

Well for that its like comparing ashton to leivo as well, both mckegg and leivo have a higher skillset and hockey IQ, leivo knows how to score and has the moves, mckeggs a playmaker, ashton is ashton |

Sure, I'm not really concerned with who is on the fourth line.
I am more concerned with how little time the fourth line gets. Our team is going to be completely gassed for the playoffs (Assuming we make them) if the fourth line isnt used more often.

IMO, from the games I watched, D'Amigo worked harder, hustled more, made smarter hockey decisions and played well at both ends of the ice. He was nothing great, but I did feel he played a better overall game than Ashton. |

Well its like comparing bodie now to all of this, he has chipped in offensively, worked hard, fighting etc and still contributed at an OKAY rate better than ashton and damigo within the amount of games played |

They go hand in hand though. If you want them to play more, shouldn't you be concerned with the guys you're giving those minutes too? Are you fine with playing Orr more or would you rather see Ashton/D'Amigo play more? |

Based on what? Leivo I can see it, but why is Ashton just Ashton? Is it because they had better junior careers? If that's the criteria, than I guess Michal Repik should've been a better NHLer than Milan Lucic. I know that's an extreme example, but why do we write of Ashton? I'll tell you why, because of the stupid decision to use him as a 20 year old. This year aside from getting his face punched in, what exactly has he done wrong? And can you really write off a guy based on getting the poopty assignment of 6 minutes with Orr? |

I rather not see Orr and actually play an NHL fourth line. |
