It has been impressive in years past, and recently if it had been that impressive, he would be in the top 6 and we woudn't need to discuss keeping him in the press box as a potential injury replacement. - 1979AD

Bring Kovalchuk out of retirement?
In all seriousness, Hall is great, and RNH is untradeable. Leafs would kill for a centre prospect like RNH.
Ebs is a great top 6, but not a franchise, and will ride the growth of Hall and RNH. Yaks is too onesided, reminds me of Semin. - ILoveLamp
yakupov is not mogilny like. alex scored 76 goals as a rookie. |

Who's to say another center wouldn't come back in the trade? Draft centers. Sign free agents. It's not rocket science. Keep in mind I never said the Oilers should trade him. I just said I'd rather keep Eberle over RNH. There has been talk in the media lately about the Oilers trading Eberle. I think it would be a bad idea to move him. He's the kind of clutch player the Oilers will need when they finally do make it back to the playoffs. - TML60
There is little/no chance they get back a center of his calibre in a trade. In free agency is beyond laughable. Ebs is more trade bait because they have more players like him. They have absolutely no one else of RNH's level down the middle. Unless the return was off the charts they lose any trade for him big time. |

Voice of reason. We have more invested in Clarkson than Kulemin and in the long run his offensive production is actually behind Clarksons in recent years. Might as well give Clarkson the chance to slump break and get some quality minutes. - systemtool
I can't possibly foresee a scenario whereby Kulemin is a Leaf next year.
He's going to want over $3 million a year.
He doesn't provide that much value, and we need to open up some roster space for younger guys.
Clarkson is here until the end of time. We need to start giving the guy more minutes, in the hope that he can get the motor running better. |

Funny... Us Leafs fans dont watch the Oilers much so we all still assume Eberle > RNH (including myself)
Curious to know why they like RNH better... Or maybe that speaks to how average Eberle has been? - ejeezy
I don't really assume one is better than the other. I just like the fact that Eberle finds a way to score in clutch situations. And if the Nuge is considered better then i assume the Oilers would get a better return for him than for Eberle. |

Kulemin .51pts/game, .21g/game since 10/11
Clarkson .41pts/game .24g/game since 10/11

I don't even know if Kulemin knows what he makes now. He has that Eli Manning expression on his face non-stop. Only reason he is going to get that is bc of his agent. |

agreed. Yaks looks like Semin at most right now. Hints of being a sniper, lazy on the defensive side of the puck, and very very VERY streaky.

Couldn't they just draft another centre with the #1 pick this year?
And next year?
And the year after that? |

a line of Raymond, Holland and Clarkson could produce quite a bit of offense giving the Leafs 3 attacking lines.
I'm not counting on Bolland being back to speed before march he may need a few fourth line games to start out. |

We dont need another offensive dman who cant play in his own zone - jbold
Clearly you don't see what kostaks doing in Chicago. Helping the best team in the league, il take that. But gardiner or Reilly have to be hurt for that call up |
