what you guys fail to understand is that i have to listen to all the complaints when the rest of you get out of hand.
i'd rather put my foot down, look like an bumhole, then have to deal with all those PMs - Dozzer
Why do you feel I don't understand? I'm a mod on another site, I know exactly what it involves, but if it started to bother me or affect my mood, I just wouldn't be involved any more. |

Nope. I'd rather keep Eberle if I was the Oilers gm. - TML60
Where do they get another center to replace him? |

He has to get on that line IMO, he would be the JVR of the line get in front of the net (since phaneuf ruined that for lupul) bang a bit in the corner, and allow Naz to do whatever the (frank) he pleases with impunity. - Bigzby
Exactly what I was thinking.
Let Naz and Lupul cycle and shoot the puck. His job would be to screen and go for tip ins, rebounds and the "dirty goals". Kulemin is cute, for now, but he should never be on our 2nd line on a consistent basis. |

Frenchie, I posted on here at least a hundred times that Clarkson's so-called 30 goal pace was a mirage, that his 5 goals and 7 points in his final 35 gp scared teh poop out of me. SO don't go there.

Funny... Us Leafs fans dont watch the Oilers much so we all still assume Eberle > RNH (including myself)
Curious to know why they like RNH better... Or maybe that speaks to how average Eberle has been? |

I think it's far too soon to write Clarkson off yet, or to suggest he can't eventually fit in with Lupul and Kadri. At least, I hope so. Guy has a nose for the net. Would be a great compliment to that line if they can find a way to gel together. - systemtool
Just one question, when they were tried before, who played LW and who played RW? I'm being serious, I can't remember if Lupul was on the left side where he is more successful. If he wasn't, then yes, try it with Lupul on the left side and Clarkson on the right. But honestly, I like this Kulemin/Kadri/Lupul combo right now. WOuld rather move Clarkson beside Bolland and Holland. |

it's an interesting debate. be interesting to see results of a poll if that very question was asked. i'd take the game-breaker eberle everyday all day before rnh. |

Raymond getting lots of love lately.
i was at the game on Tuesday and the guy behind me hated Raymond, as soon as he climbed over the boards the guy went nuts!!
"Raymond, get off the ice!" "Raymond, you suck!" Raymond, where the frank are you going, the Tampa net is the other way" it was fun to listen to.
was a great game also. - Rockhead_37
Reminds me of a soccer game I went to in England a few years ago.
It was at Millwall - considered some of the roughest fans in England.
The home team gave up 2 quick goals. Some drunk in the same section as me started screaming obscenities at the striker (his 10-year-old son was sitting next to him). Nothing funny or clever, either. Just pure, raw hate. Calling the guy garbage, useless, etc.
And then the striker scored a hat trick, and Millwall won 4-2 or 5-2.
I was expecting the dude to try to take credit, but I think he was simply too worn out from the booze. |

Bolland/Holland/Clarkson I think would be a fun line to watch. Kuli on the 2nd might help Naz with his defensive miscues. |

I honestly can't remember to tell you the truth. I don't think Lupul has been on the left side for the majority of the season from the sounds of it. They haven't tried it all that often though, mainly due to his injuries and suspensions but Raymond played a bulk of the time on that line and Kulemin has already spent more time on that line than Clarkson this season. Either way, Clarkson, Raymond and Kulemin are interchangeable 2nd-3rd liners but the Leafs have more invested in Clarkson so they might as well do what they can to get him going. If it's not working, then obviously you stop trying to jam a square peg into a round hole, but for now I don't think it's been given a fair shot. |

Kulemin is contributing the bare minimum to that line, they are succeeding because Kadri is on fire and Lupul is slowly breaking out of his slump.
Clarkson on that line makes the most sense. |

People tend to value goals too much and sometimes a breakout season was simply a season in which someone excelled beyond their capabilities.
Cheechoo anyone?
Kulemin?
Who's to say that Eberle's goal scoring wasn't a one off? |

Kulemin helps the beforehand defensively senile Kadri and the lazy Lupul who thankfully is waking up again. |
