My favorite Markov moment, even more than his goal against NJD, was during the Ottawa fight fest. After fight #2, they cut to the Flyers' dressing room, and there's a shot of Markov where he looks absolutely insane. Makes me smile every time I see it.

Danny Markov will always be a legends to me. He could smoke and drink while scoring a goal after punching out someone.

By the way, Flyers are increasing STH prices. Apparently they're short on cash.
- jmatchett383

No, they're just trying to get rid of anyone who remembers the right cadence.

Actually, the reason my buddy got was their "operational expenses" have increased. Funny, mine have to, but my boss doesn't seem to care. But I guess after the stellar last 20-or-so months of hockey, who can blame them?

Is it me or does it seem like when the Flyers make a mistake it almost always ends up in their net. Other teams make mistakes and it's not the case.
- Pixote Andolini

Given the insane amounts of odd-man rushes they gave up in the first 30 games or so (and the relatively stellar goaltending they got), I'd say most of the mistakes DIDN'T end up in their net.

why is Kimmo even playing in that game? He was brutal, we have 7 capable defensemen which should afford you the luxury of resting your banged up nearly 40 year old d-man for a game. He is a warrior and I respect that he guts it out but every spring it seems we hear about all the injuries he quietly deals with that effect his play, why not rest him for a game or 2 when these injuries pop up midseason? If Meszarros isn't in for a banged up Timonen or a healthy Grossman on Saturday then I really have to question what Berube is thinking. It seems like Downie and Meszarros are the only ones being held accountable for their play.

You can if you want. I'd rather you not. But if you're gonna be a Richard when I try to come back (and yes, a number of people did express regret at my short-lived self-imposed ban) then you can get (frank)ed. Otherwise, I'll gladly enjoy conversing with you.

I think Coburn is a 2nd pairing D. Timonen as well. Gus is a young 3rd pairing defenseman right now, will probably never rise above a #4. Grossmann is what he is, a 3rd pairing defenseman.

Then we have Schenn, what's left of Meszaros, Mark "I skate like Gino Odjick" Streit, and Abe Vigoda, I mean, Hal Gill.

not to speak for him, but i believe that he was implying that simply relegating them all to the third pair is a little harsh on a few of them. which i agree with, but i unfortunately dealt with a typical flyers fan today on the train today so im in the mood to poke a little fun!

That is what I'm implying. But man, it's fun to be very literal and take things at face value to spin them your way, isn't it?
