I dont see the gripe people have with Streit. The guy is just as good as Carle ever was here. Hes better offensively and not quite as good in his own zone, but not awful.

I just think he looks slow at times. His numbers are good. No thrilled with the term of his deal though. He'll be fine if they can upgrade the guys around him

For that cap hit, I want a guy better at the transition game. To be able to skate the damn puck up, and make better than average passes.

He is poop in his own zone, and I would rather give his minutes to a younger kid who has room to improve. Can agree to disagree, no worries here.

he has his faults but he has a rocket shot from the point and can be asset if put in the right situation. if they change up the mix next year he could be a valuable weapon to have.

Homer has, for all the criticism he gets, done a great job in acquiring former captains ... guys who've already shown that they can be a leader.

I'd rather give him this year and next year to gel with the rest of team, as he is sort of a new guy on a rather tight-knit team. I absolutely see the offensive potential of his play, though it likely isn't justified with that cap hit. But let's be honest, few defenseman live up to their cap hits; especially veterans.

If he stinks next year, buy him out during the ensuing offseason. The last thing the Flyers need is dead cap space.
