I liked it too, except for the score which is the only thing that matters.

All you can do is hope the Flyers can maintain this play throughout the game and the Ducks don't keep getting so fortunate.

they are. i know getz is one of the leagues best playmakers, but he is also an absolute bull. i cannot believe that goal set a career high for him. i know hes a passer, but that seems low for a player of his caliber. hes gonna pad this PR big time this year. definitely one of the leagues best that doesnt get enough attention

Actually it's Simmonds man both times that gets puck to the net......two deflections....5 shots....thought they had a good first period....deserve to be leading.

In the first goal, Anaheim gets the puck and there is about 2 seconds before Vinnie gets into the picture backchecking, well behind everyone else. This may well have (frank)ed up coverage. He plays center but rarely goes below the goalline while playing D. He stands and sort of floats around at the top but is too slow to get into passing lanes. Its hard to know if other players feel they need to compensate for this...

Awesome clean hit, it's amazing how such a small dude like Rino can hit so hard.

Laugh if you want, but quite literally, Mason's system makes him more victim to odd bounces and tips than goalies that sit further out. Our goaltending coach has even admitted this.

True, but both goals, the Flyers defense gave up positioning to the Ducks forwards, which made them possible. The second goal, Coburn was more worried about blocking the shot than defending Getzlaff, and Getzlaff made a nice move to get positioning and score the goal

As a winger it's Simmonds guy.....Vinny did little to allow pass, how ever...that line must be better on the D side.
