How much has Bickell's trade value tanked?

Bickell also has a modified NTC. How much would that gum up the works?

- EKolb13

I dont know, theres no chance of this happening. Dont the Rangers already have their own Bickell?

Chris Tanev, who's been playing fantastic hockey this season defensively is out for this game. This could get ugly. He and Hamhuis have been the Canucks 2 most reliable defensemen defensively.

Is Stanton still out?

I agree i don't think it'll happen. It'll take a miracle. But no Stu Bickel is not on the Rangers anymore.

Nope, he recently came back last week. He and Bieksa have played very well together. If Edler-Garrison are still paired together tonight, that's the pairing you'd want to expose but with Tanev out I expect(and pray) that those 2 are split up since they suck together and play better with others.

That sucks ...You think Lack is starting or Lu? What is VanCity's feelings on Torts? Are you in the hey at least we get some good sound bites outta him....or He's a good coach, he'll get them rollin' group?

He's still in the Rangers system, if I'm not mistaken. He's probably babysitting Beach and Aliu in Hartford.

Q should set the opening line up as Bickell Bollig Brookbank Kostka and Rosival and get a line brawl going. Maybe getting punched in the head will wake Bicks up

No problems brotherman. The Hawks have been in extended Christmas mode of operation for quite awhile now, giving gifts to each and every boy, girl and team in every town...

Awesome analysis. I got taken to task a short while ago for suggesting something be done with disastrous 3 headed 6th d-man thing (mainly on the issue of salary cap considerations), but it is clearly not working. I will still maintain they need a second line center (again salary cap considerations come into play), and it truly is a problem when your 4th line is more productive than your 3rd. A lot of "remember when" on the thread last night (Hysterical), but really, when was the last time you saw a stretch pass or even a jarring hit (hello Bolig (not a problem) or Bickel).

Nothing official on who starts yet, my guess is Luongo since he's been playing well. I like Torts, definitely not his fault that he doesn't have a good enough offense to work with. I think he's a solid coach for 2-3 years and then he probably needs to go...just one of those personalities. I would take him over AV, but the team needs to hire an assistant coach that can run a decent PP.

Trust me man, the Canucks make it look way too had to even get a scoring chance, score a couple and it should be smooth sailing from there.

You obviously haven't seen the Hawks play lately. This is an easy win for the nucks. Show up. That is all it take to beat these heartless bunch of prima donnas.

All of us knew Rockford as a 'solution' was a bit of an underdog, now we're more sure of it.

The entire FO knows this and I'm sure there are several plan-B type scenarios being considered.

Agree 100% Mr. Ladd is one of those [possible] solutions.

I sincerely think Bickell needs a fight. The second one of the Canucks look at him crossways he should drop the gloves and start throwing bombs. Maybe that will get him going?

If there were ever a team to piss someone off, it would be the one with Bieksa and Burrows on it.

Not sure if its been talked about already, but i heard something about the NHL possibly pulling their players out of the olympics due to the threat of terrorist activity over in Sochi.

>JJ, I'm guessing your "Ladd news" hit too close to home and the FO made sure to get someone to douse it
>Most of the team is playing brain-dead hockey
>Still think -- when they want to be -- that the Hawks are the mentally-toughest team in the NHL
>But, I think the Hawks do need to get physically tougher to have a chance to repeat -- no forwards on this team bodycheck except the random hit from Shaw or Bollig
>Bolland plays 100% tougher in the playoffs and the Hawks have no one to make big hits upfront other than 2 guys -- unless Bickell wakes up from his hibernation

Bickell is so lost for this season.
