Amphitheater, that was some barn...I was there as a teenager saw a few HOF players who started in the WHA.

I think more like 12,000 for sports - I think.

For concerts it was a disaster - especially with the sound systems of the 60s - even ignoring the screaming teen age girls, the music could not be understood by most people in the arena.

Same with the Beatles at Sox Park in '65: I've seen set lists of what they played - couldn't prove it by me.

Saw Hulk Hogan there in 82 with the old AWA. Also the rodeo, Ringling Bros ... the Amphitheater was the only bright spot to living in the Back of the Yards. Of course, moved out well before 82.
