Also, I really do not think Vanek will be traded until the last minute. The Isles will give him as much time as possible to decide on whether or not to take their offer. - cawala
Any new rumblings on what the Islanders are going to do with the 1st rd draft pick they sent Buffalo?
Just curious. |

The Avs could lose Ginner and Stastny to free agency and have an odd contract situation with ROR. They aren't moving PA unless there are some contract extensions in the works.
Although he is buried on third line duties right now... |

Have you had conversations with Malkin? Has he ever stated his hatred for Toronto or are you just making up poop?
By the way, Toronto wouldn't touch Letang so that's not happening and there is no one else on Pitt that Toronto would trade value for. - Cooshie
Yes, actually, I had tea with Malkin this last weekend and we discussed his future in the NHL and his hatred for all things Toronto....
You need to lighten up buddy and not be so angry. I never said Malkin hated Toronto, just that he would go to the KHL before Toronto (or any other team). He has a full NMC and won't be going anywhere. He has repeatedly said he wants to play his career for the Pens.
I also never said letang was getting traded to the Leafs. If they need to free some cap space, he'll be the one to go long before Malkin. That's why they didn't give him a full NMC. Again, just relax. These are just rooooomers after all.

Sutter is playing just about like I would have figured. Considering he's been playing with a rotating array of AHLers this season, I think he's been fine. - Emperor Filonius
You are right. He basically has played with the equal to some of the posters on this board. Would like to see him play with capable wingers instead of guys that should be in the AHL, or ECHL.

MTL and the AVS had a trade in place for a one on one trade with Bourque and PA parenteau. But the AVS went back on the decision and asked that the Habs trade a prospect (Andrighetto) which the habs won't trade.
The first trade offer was fair in my eyes... 2 years at 3 mil for bourque and 4 more at 4 for Parenteau ... seems fair and both need a change of scenery. - Hemeros
Even deal my arse. Parenteau is still putting up points and just came back from injury. Those rumors were also just speculation, no way Colorado ever agreed to Parenteau for Bourque. |

Just found it comical that you specified Toronto as a place he would not play.....
Lot's of people with NMC's change their mind and go on to play elsewhere - I would actually be surprised if Malkin doesn't end up somewhere else before he goes to the KHL.
As for coming to Toronto, I agree, I can't see any trade scenario where he comes to Toronto and there really isn't anyone else that Toronto would target so I call B.S. on trade rumors involving Kadri to Pitt. |

Not that I know of. I think it all depends on where they finish. If they get a top 5 pick they will probably keep it. Apparently there is a big drop off in talent after that. So I hope if they get 5-10 pick they let Buffalo have it. Next year is supposed to be really deep and if Snow continues to mismanage this team the Isles will need it.

Pens and Kadri, eh? Well, I'm going to call BS on this one. Other than a 1C, we don't need anything they have.
Of course, it IS true that Nonis has been floating the idea of a 'larger' move in the media. Not sure if this falls within the realm of possibility though...
I guess it would be for Malkin -- and Kadri would end up as their 2C.
People seem to be saying Gardiner would be part of it, but I'm pretty sure Reilly would be the piece to move. And probably everything else we have of value too.
Kadri, Reilly, 1st for Malkin?
Is that even enough? Not likely...
It would definitely free up a bunch of cap space for the Pens to make other moves though. Like if they wanted get Miller and/or Moulson and extend them.
Anyway, still seems implausible to me. I'm just spitballing. - jnwood2517
We can throw in Clarkson to make it fair!
Lets do this!
Seriously, why the hell would Pittsburgh trade for Kadri?
Are the Penguins the new Flyers on this site, with their name being thrown into every single trade rumour?

Bergevin did not want Parenteau in 2012 as a FA and he does not want him now. They maybe talking but certainly not for Parenteau. Also, Avs want a D, not Bourque. If you don't want Bourque cause he sucks, the Avs won't want him either. They scout the games and see what you see. A player going through the motions to make sure he does not get another concussion. |

There is no possible trade with Malkin unless they are going bankrupt. |

2 years at 4 for Parenteau left on his contract and its 2 years at 3.3 for Bourque.
Funny thing is no one mentions that Bourque has a NTC, if this was even close to being a legit trade story, he would have been asked to waive it. |

No we dont, not for straight up like that, he could be a kicker for a Dman for PAP and a lesser dman.
But why no mention of the NTC in any media story. If he was close to being traded montreal would have had asked for him to waive it so I call BS that this was even close to happening |

He would waive. You guys are probably looking at Gorges or Emelin, Gallagher maybe Eller. Habs want McGinn or ROR.
Talks go nowhere. |

Blah blah blah, says the elitist hockey snob from a market that shows up like lemmings jumping over the cliff to a franchise that can't ever seem to get its sh*t together to even win a cup since 1967. - Emperor Filonius
Blah blah blah, says the guy that cheers for a team that wouldn't even be in Pittsburgh, if the league didn't gift them Crosby. |
