classic.

Indeed, apparently he got hurt blocking a shot, didn't see the play hopefully nothing major. But it must have been quite something to have that beast not return.

I'm not sure if you know this, but in Philadelphia, a large mass of fans blame the goaltending for all goals allowed. It's this little secret we keep here in the city.

That being said, it was nice for Mason to get a shutout and hopefully start a nice streak leading up to the break.

- PhillySportsGuy

oh i know this city's bleatings and rants all too well.

that goalie didnt stop the 4th consecutive odd man rush of the period? what a bum!

the less coatsey possible is always beneficial, but it was supposed to help me get more work done. it failed.

1. AHC is called ObamaCare. Dont try and hide it.
2. Should have thought about hiring the right people first as the company in chrage was a Canadian company already known for doing poor governement jobs.
3. Once there was an issue with the website, the program should have been delayed, just as congress wanted.
4. There are fewer people with healthcare this year, then there was last year.... Why? Because not everyone that liked thier coverage could keep it... and the poor that actually signed up for obamacare were already on Medicade.

When Adam Hall scores against ya, your team is in trouble

All kidding aside its amazing how any line with Raffl on it is instantly improved!

LOL Berube says Timonen is fine. Knowing the warrior Finn, if he's breathing, he's playing!

Besides look what sore foot has done for Hartnell's game!!

Gus has played well but I think Luke Schenn has had a really strong game as well. He seems to be one of those guys that just plays better the more ice time he gets.
- BiggE

This season LSchenn plays better the more ice time he gets with Gus.

He should never be partnered with Meszaros again. Those two aren't terrible defensemen, but they are a terrible combination.

That's fine. I don't know how much you take away from that game last night. That really was an AHL level forward group we went against. It was a good win and they should be at least competitive on the western swing

yup

Grossmann-Streit needs breaking up as well. I would try:
Gus-Schenn
Streit-Coburn
Timonen-Grossmann
or
Timonen-Schenn
Streit-Coburn
Gus-Grossmann

Grossmann was solid tonight. The first penalty was a bit dumb, had one bad turnover, but did good work to erase it and honestly his second penalty saved a goal.

L Schenn played a nearly flawless game as well. If those dudes aren't making mistakes, it sure makes life easier for the rest of the team.

L Schenn seemed to finally play with some confidence. He made quick, smart decisions with puck and was very physical as well. I still think that if he's consistently paired with a smart, mobile partner, he can be a very good 2nd pair shut down guy.

can we please keep gusty in the lineup?

Gus was great... several instances where his puck-moving ability got them out of tough spots.

He does add a dimension to the team they sorely need. He needs to get better in his own end. Make quicker decisions because he's not going to outmuscle players down low. He needs to use quickness and intelligence. Those traits take time to develop. That's why I'd rather see Gus than Mez.

Agreed
I also thought that the pairing of Coburn-Streit looked good. Streit needs to play with a mobile partner like Coburn to be successful.
