My 3 stars:
1. Giroux
Everyone from Ed Snider to the popcorn vendor knew the Flyers needed 2 points tonight and the Captain answered the bell. He was by far the best player on the ice.
2. Hartnell
Kept his feet moving, went to the net and buried his chances. When he plays like this he's an extremely valuable player
3. Mason
Made some big saves throughout and handled the puck really well. Great to see him have a game like this heading into a tough road trip

Yeah. To me the take away is how well Giroux played. He was a man possessed. Detroit is missing players, but it was still good to see G dominate. He looked so assertive. His 3 points were an accurate portrayal of how well he played. One of those games where the puck just kept finding him. |
