Playing #8 and #32 extended minutes as the second D pair is really not working.
Please Berube break them up.
That is all. |

It's not about the points as much as it's about the numbers of teams between you and the last seed. I'd rather be 10 points behind 1 team than 7 points behind 7 teams. |

I think they'll play well tonight. The team recognizes the importance of getting this game before the road trip.
If they give a poor effort tonight like they did against the Bruins, I will be surprised and extremely disappointed. |

Oh I agree. My only saving grace is that we play the Wings, Toronto, and the Habs.. all teams ahead of us.. and all teams that, for whatever reason, we beat all the time. I think we are a combined 7-2 against them this year? 6-2? Something like that. Anyways, the remaining six games until the break makes or breaks us.
Plus, some teams are starting to taper off a bit like the Isles and Habs. Long shot I know, but I really really really wanna take my newborn to a payoff game for my first time as a dad |

I think Grossmann needs to sit a game. Why is Meszaros sitting!? He has been our only effective skating and puck-moving defencemen the past little bit. |

Problem is Flyers have no semblance of a # 1 dman. There isn't anywhere to hide the weak links. |

Will they stay out of the penalty box tonight?
The first guy to take a dumb/selfish penalty should sit on the bench a few shifts. |

Hey, if that does happen, that means I'll be able to get cheap seats again and go to another game around my B-day! I started their first turn around by going to the Edmonton game... I'll start the second. |

This is late, but what did you guys think of Giroux's first period penalty against Boston? I couldn't decide if he made a dumb and uneccesary play, or if it was a pathetically weak call by the refs. |

True.
If he leans on Kimmo and Coburn too much
(Above 22-23 minutes) they get exposed too.
But 8 and 32 have stood out as particularly bad recently.
No real solution with the current group.
But there are things to try.
Luke with Kimmo,
Grossmann with Coburn.
Or Streit as a 4th line wing and PP point.
This seems least likely to happen. |

As good as Mez has looked offensively he has looked just as bad defensively. Plus Grossmann will be on the team next year and Mez will not. Let Grossmann play through it. |

That'd be cool.
I think it might behoove the Panthers to be sellers at the deadline. There are so few sellers because of the ridiculous point system. There will be bidding wars for every player.
I don't want the Flyers to be in the same position as last year where they aren't out of it, but their chances aren't great. I want them to be squarely in the playoff hunt or squarely out of it.
Panthers playoff odds are very low at this point. They have some solid pieces to build around. Might be better off collecting picks and/or prospects |

Thats the one I want to see. Delegate responsibility. Ask Grossmann and Coburn to just play good defense and not worry at all about scoring.
Give Luke someone he can trust.
And for god's sake, limit Streit's minutes to more advantageous spots. |
