I think they know that. I am not a fan of Berube lately, in particular the player management decisions. Hopefully he pulls them back a bit, they need to close that gap between forwards and D. It will hurt the offensive game, but what can you do I guess.
- flyer_nutter

I agree. I think he's been preaching about closing the gap. I think that's where his 'more skating quicker thinking' comes in.

Watching the Kings last night, they did a great job of helping their defenseman. They only managed 1 goal, but it was all they needed.

So what do you guys think of Kulikov? A panthers fan was in here earlier and talked about their willingness to deal him. Rumors are that he may be KHL bound and even if he isn't, he may need a change of scenery with a new coaching staff. What would you guys give up knowing all the risk associated with him?
- PhillySportsGuy

I have never been a fan of a player that threatens such things. Which I will admit I haven't read he has directly done, but usually where there is smoke there is some fire.

Its the same thing with Yakupov. Such a selfish and poopty attitude, I'd prefer to stay away.

2 out of 3 in Anaheim, LA, and San Jose? Custer had a better chance at Little Big Horn.

all 3 of those teams are fairly equal we don't stand a chance

Yes, its all for "our safety". I'll give you just a quick idea. Lets say for fun, that the protests happening in Ukraine, there were some people in the States that wanted to protest (peacefully) against class inequality. How quickly do you think it would take for the arrests to happen? Or any other protest lets say.

Its all just a wonderful ploy to make sure the masses don't get any ideas of "a better life". Fear is a wonderful tactic.

Yes, because since A is related to B, and B is related to C, A is related to C. Fantastic analysis.

You are opinionated on politics. Which means you're opinionated on ponies and rainbows.

They have a shot, especially with Datsyuk and Zetterberg out.

For a change, I will attempt to not be sarcastic for 1/2 hour.

I believe that Scott Hartnell, Braydon Coburn, and Niklas Grossmann playing gives the Flyers a better chance to win tonight than if they were not.

- jmatchett383

i agree. I feel Grossmann will work his way out of the slump (it would help to get him away from Streit). Coburn and Hartnell are streaky, so you need to live with the bonehead plays or gaffs in order to reap the benefits later.

There will be a point when Hartnell's antics out way his positives. I don't think we've reached that point yet.

Not much if he's essentially a defensive Zherdev.

Stop being negative. Logic suggests the Flyers will capture 6 points on the California trip.

I think you wait until the deadline and offer a conditional 2nd rounder, 4th if he doesnt resign. If Florida tanks they might deal him, if not, then they may not, or they may want assets for him. Maybe Grossmann for Kulikov and conditional 2nd and 3rd if Kulikov doesnt resign. Or Meszaros straight up for Kulikov with a conditional 2nd if he resigns.

I think its so sad when a guy with unbelievable talent can't assimilate and become a team player. Kulikov could be an outstanding offensive defenseman.

Lets not do politics today. Its a game day. Let's talk about the chances of at least 4 points in the next 4 games
- PhillySportsGuy

Thanks, besides all politicians suck and all governments are corrupt to some degree so why bother?!?!

As far as getting 4 points in the next 4 games, getting 2 tonight would be a real good start!!

In his head, yeah. His heart isn't in it. He was giving us crap about coming back from Russia after the lock out. He was the last to report.

Really? I didn't realize he had fallen that far out of favor. You think the Panthers are close to the point of just dumping him for the best offer?

Obviously we won't just give him away. And we need forwards not so much defense as we have a TON of defense in our system. But, it is time to move on. He is really the last piece on the team that was here before Tallon arrived. The system has totally changed.

There is so much allure to Russian 'superstars' to return to Russia. They are treated like royalty. It's the secondary Russian players who have to deal with the bad parts.

I have to jump in here. Im sorry.

Why bother? Why did our ancestors bother to get a better life? Why did we bother to abolish slavery?

Its (frank)ing modern day feudalism, and we are continuously fed BS. Everyone knows that Bieber gets arrested but the real stories are barely covered to such a degree.

Its a wonderful game. Into having us all fall into line, and not get any ideas of a better life in our heads. Its as good as its going to get, the majority of us face more hardship every day, yet the mega rich get richer and richer.

Sheep. Les just accept the status quo. Its all peachy and dandy, lets just watch the superbowl.
