Preachy people, whether they're straight edge, Christian/Jewish (it's basically the same except for that Jesus thing), etc. Who cares? Live your life to your standards and let others do the same.

I have a buddy that lives there and he and his wife are both lawyers (with no kids) and he was complaining about cost of living in SF.

I'm not sure how many hippies could afford it out there anymore.

For the record, my wife loves to drink (hasn't since she got pregnant and is still breast feeding) but I don't sit there and yell at her or tell her how much better I am than her...for that reason.

Well sir, I salute your dedication.

Why would I say that? All I would say is, "No thanks." If they asked why, then I would say I'm straight edge. I wouldn't puff out my chest with a big poop-eating grin. I'm just like, "No thanks," and then when people find out I'm straight edge, I've been met with, "You f---ing someone who is attracted to the opposite sex," "You wussy," and a host of other fun stuff. The only time I actually got heated was at a bachelor party in AC where one of the dude's started to get in my face, saying I hated life because I didn't drink. I told him in no uncertain terms to get the hell away from me, or I was going to beat the balls off of him. He didn't and I did. Well, I actually just hit him twice.

I don't mind either. I'm only 26 so I like a lot of hipster music and hipster bars. I also come from a liberal area with lots of hippy parents so I don't mind them either.
