Have you ever noticed the Flyers love guys with problems. If a guy has an issue, they feel they can always get a great deal. - PhillySportsGuy
Yeah. The rationale for Tibbets was that he was a troubled young man trying to do right who they could help. They they realized that he was a rapist who was bad at hockey. |

If I were JG, I'd stick w/ Calgary.
But yeah, if I was hell bent on UFA, I'd pick whichever team gives me a better shot at prime minutes... that would be NJ over Philly as it presently stands. - Tomahawk
Who would want to live anywhere near Newark, NJ. I mean at some level living conditions, has to equal player ambitions. Not too many people choose to go to NJ in UFA, and I think there is a reason why.... |

It's amazing the spin they can put on these things. |

Unless you like great food... best Mexican and Asian food in the country, bar none.
The rest of it could slide into the San Andreas for all I care, though. |

There's got to be a story in here somewhere.....
I went to San Diego once. It was pretty great, actually, and I'd love to go back. |

So really, my selfish desires aren't all that bad. They'll rehabilitate that.
If not, I'll take a dump on my GM's desk every day until he trades me. |

I liked on NHL 36 or whatever it's called where he went to the radio station and had to give his full name. It's the difference between Philly (hockey star = A-List celebrity) and LA (hockey star=C-list celebrity). - jmatchett383

San Diego was awesome. My wife and I went for a walk by the zoo, and just stumbled upon this awesome cactus/flower garden. No signs or anything, and no one knew it was there. But downtown San Diego, the "Gaslamp" district, is very small. Great views and good food, though. I'd go back any day. |

Sorry but I'm past the point of wanting to sleep with a brain dead, artificially created woman. I passed that point in 3rd grade I think. |

In NHL14, I got drafted by NYI, and it automatically signed m to an entry level deal. I demanded a trade, and they basically just bashed me and dropped all of my ratings. And didn't trade me. I contemplated just playing horrible to force a trade, but that seemed long and pointless. - jmatchett383
I popped in NHL11 (last NHL I bought) a couple months ago and tried the be a pro thing. I got drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs, played one game, and quit forever. |

They have great food, and great clubs. They have all the perks of living in a big City, but also have the ability to live on a laid back beach. Its not like the Kings play in Oakland or Compton. |

Just because you have the power to choose your initial team doesn't mean you have any real control over your destiny.
You could pick LA, for a million wonderful reasons, and then end up getting dealt to Buffalo or Ottawa the very next day.
UFA is the time for hand-picking your dream destination and get a NTC. Everything before that should be about establishing your game and cultivating your reputation. |

San Diego Good vacation spot. Excellent retirement spot
San Francisco Awesome place with great living conditions. Meant more for a younger/liberal crowd. |

If you get dealt to Buffalo, you poop on their GM's desk. It's the ultimate "Get rid of me" card. |

The Flyers have had a guy or two in the organization that are recovering alcoholics (Homer, for example), so maybe that might account for the whole "give a guy a second chance" thing. |
