It seems more advantageous than pulling a Blake Wheeler, getting myself stuck behind a veritable army of good forwards, then getting traded to Winnipeg, lol. - Tomahawk
The cure to that is to not be Blake Wheeler. |

Right, but 950k in Calgary, or 950k in Boston or Pittsburg or Chicago....
Personally I would sign with the Flyers first, just because of being a fan, but if Flyers arent interested... I would likely go with a team like LA. Great foundation for the team... Good young goalie.. Great young defense.. and the core players... while overpaid now... are signed for long contracts... meaning the team will likely stay together, and down the line Richards, Carter, Voynov, Brown, and Kopitar will likely be considered underpaid... which will free a lot of money for my resignings and the team to add more UFA pieces... plus its LA. - youarewrong
Absolutely, but I'm just saying is that it's not like a UFA where you can go to "the highest bidder" because you can only make a set amount. You can choose your destination, but the money's gonna be relatively constant. |

The forwards need to recognize that these defenseman can't make difficult passes. If it means coming all the way back to help, then so be it.

So have I. But no! Defensemen bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ugh and live in LA
I would sign with Florida. Lower taxes for rich athletes, great weather and no pressure |

If I were JG, I'd stick w/ Calgary.
But yeah, if I was hell bent on UFA, I'd pick whichever team gives me a better shot at prime minutes... that would be NJ over Philly as it presently stands. |

In NHL14, I got drafted by NYI, and it automatically signed m to an entry level deal. I demanded a trade, and they basically just bashed me and dropped all of my ratings. And didn't trade me. I contemplated just playing horrible to force a trade, but that seemed long and pointless. |

The Flyers have signed Billy Tibbets and Nikolai Zherdev. I don't think their moral standards are all that high. |

That had that made-for-TV movie...which was total Bruce Campbell. They should just make "Brisco County Jr, the Senile Years." That show was pretty wacky to begin with. |

I mean, for a 21 year old kid.. LA has to be like the best destination... tons of Celeb poon left-overs, great weather, and a good team. Its got the advantages of being like NYC without having to be in NYC... You can buy a house on a beach, and just party... plus you know Richards knows where the blow is... - youarewrong
I liked on NHL 36 or whatever it's called where he went to the radio station and had to give his full name. It's the difference between Philly (hockey star = A-List celebrity) and LA (hockey star=C-list celebrity). |
