Your location doesn't even say suddz and der is typically a reference to stupidity. - Yeti1181

I hope you work 3 months straight boo yah.
Just kidding I'm not that much of a Richard. - Yeti1181
I work 7 days a week...so I would need to fill the 20 minutes a week I spend here, on avg, with a good fap session instead...

So oil gonna go for 7 straight?
Put Hendricks on the top line hith hall and rnh, guy has shown more passion for this team than Ebs has in his life. - nagasadow
He's fine where he is. It's a lot easier to have get up and go when you play ten minutes a night. He can't keep that level up playing first line minutes. That being said if the first line doesn't bother showing up for the first two periods again, might as well nail them to the bench and give the ice time to guys who will appreciate it. |

At least he's a proven NHL defenceman. He and Ference are the only two we have. - JuiceMcT83
WAS a proven NHL defenseman. Petry and Jultz are equally "proven" as NHL Dmen. Petry is our only legitimate top-4 Dman while Jultz would obviously be better suited to bottom pairing time (or at least moderately sheltered minutes) right now. Despite Nultz's status as so-called defensive Dman, he's STILL managed to be a -17 while playing less than 17 minutes/night against the 2nd weakest competition of all of our blueliners. So don't BS me with that "he's a legit NHLer, cause he's not. On ANY team.
And that's not even mentioning his horrifyingly bad possession statistics. |

It was Fedun time 3 months ago. They ought to give Klefbom a cup o tea as well. Chances are good that he'd be better defensively than at least Nultz, Belov, and Potter. |

Petry is fine as long as we don't ask him to play in our own end. Still I'd keep him and J Schultz and get whatever you can for the rest. Playing the rest of the year with OKC d men probably wouldn't look all that different. |

I'd keep Ference. He, unlike Nultz, is a proven NHL Dman (even if it's just as a 4/5 Dman). Petry, Jultz, Ference, and Marincin make for a solid group of four guys to build around. Ideally, they're able to add one legit top-2 guy and 1 legit top-4 guy in the offseason, but realistically, I can't see them getting both. So, picking one, I opt for the top-2 guy. Depending upon who it is (offensive or defensive, RHD or LHD, etc) he can pair with one of Jultz, Petry, or Ference to form an at least adequate top pairing.
Best case scenario has Marincin maintaining his high level of play and chemsitry with Petry (54.5 CF% as a pairing!!!) into next season allowing them to form a solid 2nd pairing.
That then leaves either of Ference or Schultz to pair with a solid counter to their skill set on the bottom pairing. Finally, Fedun acts as the 7th Dman and Klefbom, Gernat, and whoever else we can acquire act as potential call-ups. With those moves- and assuming Petry and Schultz progress in their development- the defense is at least patched to a point where they can (hopefully) compete. Add a top-4 Dman at the 2015 TDD and you have the potential for a playoff run! |

I would also throw Belov into that mix.

Too much derp..like seriously damaging amounts. I thought it would get better with Clouts gone and getting a ref...the opposite has happened. It must be becasue the season went for a large dump... - OilHorse
I'd say the derp level has gone down. We don't get trolled nearly as much. You seem to forget we had 99% derp back then.
At least now we are down to about 60%.... |

there was an article a week or so ago from the journal basically sayng he makes every other pairing he has played with better, when compared to Nultz, Ferrenceand Potter.
Pls if they can get him cheap again next year and bring in a new D coach and a top 1/2 guy he can learn better. |

I'd say he's worse. In my encounters with Newmy, he's at least backed down/accepted his mistake when I present him with facts that disprove his theorys. He also isn't stupid, just annoying. This new guy seems to legitimately believe he's the sh!t and he comes up with the most ridiculous trade proposals (Yakupov(+) for Franson is a beauty of his) and massive biases. |
