I know trades don't come easy but you have to think with Hemsky, Gagner, and a 1st rd pick we really don't need that big mac could do something. The whole league knows he has to do something so we will end up overpaying no matter the move but at this point do we really care. Gagner and our pick alone should get us a top four defenceman OR a top six forward with some grit. I just hope we don't wait till the draft. Who knows how far Gagner's stock could fall by then.

He was a good solid D-man last year. I think the whole d core to a giant step back this year. I've heard that Eakins runs an unorthadox system. That does not mean it can't work but this poor team has had to learn new systems four years in a row now. They may figure it out just in time for a pointless end of season winning streak.
