I haven't check any other teams schedule Saint. I would bet there are similarities. I believe from the time of the Circus trip for a period of about a month or so, I think every game the Hawks played was in a different city. That is pretty quirky. Sure they aren't the only team to deal with it. By the same token, the Blues have played 3-4 less games than the Hawks all season and won't make those game up until after the break.

I'm not sure how much the schedule has hurt the Hawks: they were excellent in the second games of back-to-backs until Minnie - I would guess more (a) aches and pains that didn't heal over the short summer, including Bickell, Handzus (age), maybe Toews and (b) Ice Hog replacements (except for Smith) didn't work out, whether because Q didn't give them enough of a chance or not doesn't matter right now.

They are five down from the play-offs - Bolland, Stalberg, Frolik gone; Bickell and Handzus regressing. Only Smith and Versteeg have been at all effective replacements.

Really? It seemed much higher. They are great in the shootouts. I bet it was Oshie who had the winner? I hate him.

The winner and the third period tying goal.

5-2 IS great in shoot-outs.

BTW, Versteeg, Kostka and Handzus won the #Blackhawks' 3-on-3 "tournament today. Sharp, Toews and Brookbank fifth of six teams.

No shock, Versteeg is a beauty.

Hey TC. Let them have their glory. (frank) em.
- Elbows15

Yeah that's true. It means nothing until you raise that Cup. But what if they did win it all? It was bad enough having goon teams like LA and boston win it, but having the ultimate cheap and dirty team?

Damn Oshie i thought they won more OT games. I knew they were great in the shootouts. Maybe it is Anaheim that won a lot of games in OT?

A big part of that is the fact that he died young. Had he lived to a ripe, old age, I'm sure things would have happened that would have deflated his cool factor.

Edit: Case in point, Elvis. Take Elvis up through the mid 60s and he'd be right there. What happened to him after that was tragic.

We tried trading you to the Wild board for SotaPopinski, but they wanted us to cover your cap hit. We turned them down.

Thanks. Those 5 OT wins are huge. No wonder their ROW looks so good. I bet on at least 3 of those 5 wins were from powerplay goals in OT. They get a lot of OT powerplays

Maybe - same with James Dean and Montgomery Clift.

But - Paul Newman managed to be cool until the end; Cary Grant.

I'm pondering if you are tired of arguing with me, are patronizing me, are mocking me or if you truly do see my point?
- paulr

All kidding aside, I do get your point! IF there was an honest emoticon to post here I would throw up 10 of them.

One thing I try to remember is that 1, there are no garauntees no matter what you do, and in our case, we just have a difference of philosophy. You would opt for the experience and more of a status qou, and I do not mean that in a bad way. While I am of the mind that a young guy or 2 playing most of the season is going to acclimate and find a role or a niche.

You and I have reached nirvana.....

I posted previously that maybe the Hawks are just trying to buy some time. Either to make a move or more likely, let a kid get a ton of ice time in the Rock before bringing them up. For all the angst we all show over their recent play, they have been 2nd in the league pretty much all season. The OT and shoot out record has to be an aberration. Right? Right? Or at least I hope so.
- Elbows15

The record in OT/SO is one thing, the constant of having games get to OT is the concern for me.
