Definitely see them winning the central and maybe the west and the President's trophy. Just hoping for a freak matchup with LA in round 1. It can happen with LA slipping lately. Vancouver COULD pass them at #3. Maybe? Yeah right who am I kidding

If you get a chance - on one of the endless NHLN reruns - watch the Vanek goal in OT overturned - one of the worst review-calls I've ever seen.

Blues score in last 30 seconds of the third to tie, get a terrible call in their favor in OT, win in the SO.

A lot of team playing a lot of hockey with a ton of scheduling quirks. 3 in 4 nights. A lot of the time its 3 games in 3 different cities. Think a lot of teams are just hoping to get to the break and regroup.

Not much solice this year, but next year - and many thereafter - the schedule will uncompress a little.

It's still a grueling grind, and then the play-offs.

But conserving cap space doesn't work with Chicago because of the LTIR situation, I thought.

Seems that Q and Stan just don't think any Hog forwards are ready.

Not sure it matters now (or, actually, after the O-break: regulars are going to need rest.

I posted previously that maybe the Hawks are just trying to buy some time. Either to make a move or more likely, let a kid get a ton of ice time in the Rock before bringing them up. For all the angst we all show over their recent play, they have been 2nd in the league pretty much all season. The OT and shoot out record has to be an aberration. Right? Right? Or at least I hope so.

I haven't check any other teams schedule Saint. I would bet there are similarities. I believe from the time of the Circus trip for a period of about a month or so, I think every game the Hawks played was in a different city. That is pretty quirky. Sure they aren't the only team to deal with it. By the same token, the Blues have played 3-4 less games than the Hawks all season and won't make those game up until after the break.

Phoenix would have to get really hot for that to happen.

Yeah it is wishful thinking for LA to fall past #3. LA against San Jose would be a great matchup, though. I don't see the Blues losing to anyone in the 7 or 8 spots: Minny, Phoenix, Vancover, or Dallas
