According to NOAA the average Chicago low in March is 29F, the average high 47F.

March 1 is lower than that.

With all of that Warner Cable money coming in - and the crook who used to own them being gone - could be a new era for the Trolley Dodgers.
- StLBravesFan

They said the same thing when Murdoch/Fox bought them. I'll just hope for the worst for them. On the down side, I think the Angels are going to really regret that Pujols contract very soon.

You probably liked Judge Schmale's hat in Caddyshack.

I like unique. The Hawks are black and red, always have been...get your own F'ing colors, or better yet keep the one's you had.

30s, 40s at best - usually wet feeling, even if no rain/snow/sleet - a miserable month.
- StLBravesFan

And this will be March 1st so I guess it still will be pretty bad. But it still beats what the weather has been for all these outdoor games. Won't be really freezing

Can't have corporate ownership - doesn't work - they try to run the franchise like any other subsidiary, which is ok for the corporate finance guys, not for the fan.

Tribune - failed with the a Cubs, all they did was steal Cub money thru WGN.

CBS - don't think the Yankees won anything under them.

Disney - did they own them when the a Ducks won the Cup?

Doesn't a cable company own one of the eastern NHL teams that hasn't won anything?

And it's a 7 PM start - so lower to mud 30s on average - probably perfect for hockey, absent any precipitation.

Yes, I'd much rather have an emotionless, monotone, zero personality, douchebag like most teams have for their broadcasts.

I think most (but obviously not all) people who complain about Foley don't see a lot of other teams' broadcasts, and have no idea how good they have it.

Yeah, I grew up east of there but in the North. The local mill had the largest cutting rights in the world. I talked to a couple of guys that had flown in from Georgia, they were amazed. So much clean air and water.

Good game at Yankee Stadium so far...great pace and both clubs have shown more fight than the Hawks had in their last 2 games.

Let's put it this way, I'll take this Foley over plenty of other broadcasters, plenty of whom are at the national level (Hughson, etc.). He's not as good as he used to be though.

And to me, it feels like the Foley and Olcyzk combo has just been producing progressively worse broadcasts each year.

Say what you will about Konroyd, but when he's on with Foley, Pat does a much better job and doesn't resort to yucking it up the whole damn game like he does when "Edzo" is in the booth with him.

Olcyzk should stick to the national broadcast with his friends Mike and Pierre.

I don't mind the emotion - or much of the homerism - I want a fan describing the game - and if sometimes they're not critical enough, that's ok - I have Hockey Buzz for that.

But it's the stories he relates during play that run into un described scoring chances that drive me nuts.

And the dreaded "tree-toity-tree".

Daryl Reogh for Dallas Stars and the Sharks team with Drew Remenda are two rather enjoyable. Even predators guys are solid...

Both clubs are fighting for their play-off lives.
