By us, it was First Distributors. Had a catalogue and if you went into the store they had one of everything on a shelf so you could actually see it in person before you bought it.

Watching bad news bears in breaking training on the baseball network. Those were great movies. It was a great time in the 70's. I don't even think they have little league baseball anymore where I grew up. Probably do but not as popular

in our league. once you were on a team, you were there until you moved up a level. Or you took a year off. (frank) playing right field and 2nd base. Especially when you knew you were better than the 12 year olds. Its why its better now. FFs, your 9 and have to wait until your 11 to play the whole game.

What they don't have any more is kids going out every nite playing ball on their own - pick up games, however many show up.

If parents aren't involved now, they don't play.

Don't know if it's the parents fault or the kids.
