This VadeVelde hasn't been able to crack the Oilers roster the past 3 seasons. I believe over that time, the Oilers have the worst record in the NHL.
If he's not good enough to play for them, why is he playing for the Flyers? I haven't seen any inkling of him showing he's an NHL player. |

No one really understands. Downie gets injured and returns to play limited minutes on the 4th line. Then Berube sits him. Unless Downie is being a little female dog and whining to the coaches a lot, I don't see what he did to deserve this treatment |

ending that period 1-0 would have felt completely different than 2-0. terrible type of goal to give up in a game like this |

couturier had a better look 30 seconds in and didn't score....giroux had the same chance and missed the net. |

Oilers on mission control like us. Try and trade for Eberle
Trade some of these forwards like Read Simmonds Schenn or Defensive Schenn for Defenders who can move.
Trade Grossmann and Streit |

ever notice how the pileup and loose puck always seems to be directly in front of the goalie? the puck never squirts to the side for a tap in. at the other end of the net, it just deflects in off a skate or a shin or an ass cheek. |

yep. and you just knew they'd score at the end off a faceoff. this feels like a game the flyers will not score. mostly cream puff shots on rask. |

Upon further review, the call on the ice stands... there was no distinct clenching motion. |

usually the flyers are losing 3-0 inside of 10 minutes on home ice against the bruins. i guess this is progress. |

I agree. Flyers played well over the second half of the period. 1-0 is bought against the Bruins but not insurmountable. 2-0 is a lot tougher now and killed any momentum they could have taken into the next period. |
