Vanek to Anaheim just makes so much sense, I actually think its going to happen if he doesn't resign.

In order I want

1) Vanek is traded then resigns in off-season!
2) Vanek resigns
3)Traded for Lehner and Stone/A good young close Ottawa Dman/Prospect
4)Traded or Andersen and Emerson/Good young close Anaheim Dman

Im more concerned in having our goalie issues solved in Andersen/Lehner,

Im not too familiar with their D prospects, do they have any good young dmen that are currently playing in the NHL? I don't see Ceci being traded by Ott

Anaheim has four goaltenders...my guess is Hiller will resign until Gibson is ready because I think he might be the best of the bunch...Anderson would probably be the one the Islanders could possibly get for Vanek if they decide to trade him...also like to see if Anaheim would include Luca Sbisa in the trade...he is healthy again...

If anything OTT has financial issues so any good D prospect or NHL ready Dmen, they will probably hold onto.
They have some decent to good young D but like I mentioned, they will hold on to them.

I know that in your trades your looking for NHL ready prospects or young Dmen, only issue is that teams rarely give them up in trades bc they are very valuable and are a major asset for teams. If anything, I rather have a young veteran Dman come here to help guide the kids, instead of adding more kids with this poor coaching staff......

Gryba, Cowen, and Wiercioch. They are all young, big, good at defense, and technically a Veteran.

Methot has a year left, Phillips is Ottawa's guy, and I hear they have some semi-good defender Karlsson, but Idont think they'd trade him (sarcasm of course).

But to Ottawa, they aren't going for the Cup this year, so they will need these good defenders too for their playoffs this year, and the next seasons.

Realistically the only defender I can see them trading where it works out for both of us is Gryba, who I would take.

Lehner & Anderson are their future in G, so I really don't see them trading him. Also I just don't see a good fit/trade partner in OTT.
Isles will get max value from a team who's desperate, so Vanek needs to continue putting up points!!!!

I get the same impression that they like him a lot. I can still see them getting rid of him for the right return though as Matt Moulson proved the well liked title only gies so far.
