Rangers get both games in their backyard as "away?" Not a bad deal for them! |

I thought the Devils and Islanders get more of the draw since they are the home teams...but here is why they are the home teams...

Brodeur and the Devils D looks brutal today. I'll pass on Brodeur. I'd love to get Hiller. - ses111
My favorite was Fat Mikey saying Brodeur had no chance on the goal Fayne redirected into his own net....no, of course not....especially when your stick isn't on the ice. Just ask your buddy Rick DiPietro. |

That will be the day Broduer gets called out. He still have a phobia playing the Rangers. |

Pierre is hoping that Vanek gets traded. He does not want that line going against his Pens. |

Hearing vanek s quote yesterday really does have me believe he wants to stay. He took it personally and I think after the blatant disrespect he wants to be a part of this teams turn around... He just sounded really passionate and upset. He sounded like an islander right there. I think that blown call makes him consider staying here believe it or not. He now sees what this team has to go through and wants to make a difference... |

Josh Bailey is quickly approaching Kvasha territory in my book. |

I heard that. I think Pierre has seen very little of the Isles since last year and just speaks off the top of his dome because he has to report something. I think he tipped his hand on his non approaval of the Vanek acquisition when he insinuated the chemistry hasn't bern that good with JT. He also seems to make comments on plays without having actually seen them. The guy is a fraud. |

We'll see. I think he definitely likes it here and is growing roots, but I think Minnesota remains his #1 choice. I think the Isles would be his second choice, but he could miss out on both if he plays his cards wrong. |

Agreed...like I said Friday, when McGuire is covering a Pittsburgh Penguins game he should be wearing a Sidney Crosby jersey and knee pads... |

I'd agree- but you all need to understand that this man is getting paid. There's no, "he can't make more than JT" nonsense. He's probably getting at least $8M per for 7 years- absolute minimum. If they make that kind of serious offer, I do think he stays, if his family likes Long Island well enough. NY is big time for endorsements, especially for guys who put up Hall of Fame stats....and with Tavares, he will. |

I would think along with the money, Vanek would like to put up big numbers for the rest of his career with JT. He can always hang out in Minny during the offseason. Unless the Isles lowball Vakek, he would be nuts to leave. |

The whole thing about accusing Pittsburgh of getting preferential treatment was really interesting. I know we as fans say stuff like that all the time but a player saying it is wild. And he can't be the only one who thinks it. |

Sadly it will not be Suter or Parise. If the Isles do have to deal Vanek, I would not mind trading him in a package for goalie Martin Jones of the Kings. |

Marty Brodeur was not a fan of the ice at the game today. Henrik did not seem to have a problem with it. Guess Marty would not be happy playing on the Coli ice all the time? |

I would be happy with Marty teaching Poulin and Nilsson how to play the goal. As for him playing the goal, that race car is sadly on its way to the junkyard, at this point. No thanks. |
