You really shouldn't listen to Tony Marinaro Colin. There is no chance Cammy come back for a 2nd stint. It's pretty clear since the begin of December that this team is too small and lack leadership. Also, if there is a move to be made i dearly hope it will be one to strenghten our blueline. - Habsody
Ya Colin, you idiot. Quit with your Cammy to Montreal BS. AINT GONNA HAPPEN |

No worries, I take most of the info I read/retrieve over twitter with a grain of salt, but the more I research and read up on other teams, the better I feel I can make judgment calls on certain parts of blogging...hence why I dont think hes going anywhere but LA, Ducks, or Wings....lately gave up on Pens |

I agree. I'm sure Montreal is on his list of where he won't go. |

Not that it matters too much but the Heat have picked up Corey Locke from the chicago wolves and have reassigned mark Cundari to the Wolves. Cundari remains a part of the flames organization but will now play for the Wolves for the remainder of the season. |

Cammy to LA for Derek Forbort and a either a 1st or second depending on how cammy plays from now til the deadline |

what's the deal with Morrow, everyone keeps passing this kid around? - TandA4Flames
Upon his first AHL season, Penguins coaching staff found out Morrow was a liability 5v5. He was quoted about 30 games in that he was told he "didn't know how to play defense" or something along those lines. Wish I could link the quote, it was pretty candid. He had some great defense partners in Portland so I guess all he had to worry about was the PP. |

I sure hope Burke knows this. Maybe send him a note just to be sure. |

I think the Flames will retain as much of Cammalleri's salary as possible and sell to Anahiem for their 1st round pick and Emerson Etem. Anahiem has 2 first rnd and 2 second rnd picks for the 2014 draft so they might be looking to top up their scoring especially on their #2 PP and I think Cammalleri fits into that. Etem is 6.0' and 194 and is a RW which I think the Flames are in need on the right side.
OR
San Jose
2nd rnd
3rd rnd
Matt Tennyson (RFA at the end of this season and they have 2 - 2nd rnd picks) - buddy_doug
Anaheim isn't looking for help in scoring. They want to upgrade defense.

I just have this feeling a team not yet considered could sneak in with a deal. And I got the feeling MIN could try for Mike, if not then perhaps Wideman. - TandA4Flames
cammelleri/granlund for coyle/2nd (a 1st if cammy signs there next year) |

Last three years:
2012-13 Calgary Flames NHL 44 13 19 32 (.73ppg) (91% gp)
2011-12 Calgary/Montreal NHL 66 20 21 41 (.62ppg) (80% gp)
2010-11 Montreal Canadiens NHL 67 19 28 47 (.70ppg) (82% gp) - Colin Dambrauskas
he's a playoff machine though. thats the big attraction for him I think

Lastly, there are a number of people who think that the Montreal Canadiens may also make a push, or at the very least a phone call regarding the potential acquisition. Similar to my reasoning with the Coyotes, I do not see the Canadiens being interested, either.

I fully agree with you on that they need some defensive depth but if they want a second PP unit manned up with 4 forwards like they run on their first PP unit they need another scoring forward. I think Cammalleri fits pretty nice into that role.
Teemu Selanne,Mathieu Perreault, Mike Cammalleri, Hampus Lindholm, and Patrick Maroon on a PP line looks pretty good to me. They have enough extra picks that they can find some rental D-man depth out their too. With 2 first and 2 seconds they have a lot of options. Couple guys that come to mind are Andrew McDonald NYI, Ron Hainsey CAR, or maybe take a chance on a Ryan Whitney FLA or Nick Schultz EDM. All could be had, if thier teams are not playoff contenders at the deadline, for their 2nd round pick or maybe depend on which one you gamble on probably their 3rd round pick. |

Another interesting team which I mentioned awhile ago are the Sens....could be something there too...fighting to stay in the playoff race...who knows. |
