So when fans/media complained about poor goaltending and the Leafs goalies never "stealing a game for them"...that was rhetorical? I'm legitimately confused about this...yeah, they get outplayed alot of times, are scrambly in their own end...more of a willow tree thank an oak...not sure that bending but not breaking more times than not (ie. 27-20-5) is something to hammer a young developing team on regularly, especially in comparison to their conference.

How is their success this year against Western Conference teams explained? How can a team be so flukey going on the last 2 seasons and somehow have success?

yes i know, not my point. I was just laughing at the fact that there was so much praise for what MacKinnon did, when in reality the Leafs were happy to let him do it, and didn't try to stop him.

Don't get me wrong, the kid has a great shot and skating ability, but they over hyped that play too much imo. Think there was even a full article in one of the papers or one of the sports sites about it.

Reached their ceiling? They're one of the youngest teams in the league, and the squad is built for the playoffs IMO, we get in I like our chances against anyone other than Boston.

Philthy, JvRdcore, ...Bozak (got nothing) will dominate again tonight and I will go "Yesssss!!!!" when one of those three score. Then I will say "SWEET!!!!" But I won't high five anybody because I live alone. But if there was dude or a girl, probably a hot dude or a hot girl, I'd give them a huge high five. But then we'd wait and see what happens. We wouldn't get too excited over one goal. I mean, they probably would, because they are very excitable. But not me. I know when to hold them and when to fold them. But then, if PB&J light it up again, I'll get a little more excited and probably say "(frank)ing right! These guys are playing great". Then I'd throw a high five towards that dude or girl. We'd probably jump up and do that fist pump too. Sometimes I do that when I get excited for the Leafs. Not to mention when Bernier stands on his head and makes a big stop. Guess what? Yup! You guessed it, high five time. Booyah! But then again, what if #3 and #4 forget how to clear a puck. Ugh, that's bound to happen. Then I'd probably be all "Oh for (frank) sakes. What is it with this guy?" No high fives, maybe just a mean scowl towards the tv. But alas, PB&J will start the 3rd out strong and all will be well. There will be plenty of high fives with hot girls and hot guys. It's gonna be great!

thought it was hilarious how all the SN comentators, and some here on HB were blowing smoke up Mackinnon's arse after he did the lap around the zone. No one pressured the guy, and it didn't lead to any shot on net.

We female dog and complain every other game when Gardiner pulls the same poop. But some other guy on a team not named the Leafs does this, and he is the best ever!!
