Its been said somewhere but I think it makes sense. Being paired with MDZ and shifted back and forth between sides made him play a simpler more defensive game. He was limited to playing one end of the ice more because of DZ's offensive minded approach also. I think with a defensive dman like Klein, it will allow Moore to rush up more and be less worried leaving his partner. - xcheckmajor
Good point, makes a lot of sense. Never thought of it that way. J Moore better step up then if that was the case. Loved his play last year, and that offensive part of his game, that has totally disappeared this year. |

klein and his contract remind me a lot of seidenberg and his contract. don't think klein is as good as seidenberg defensively, but basically both are similar players and signed to very good cap hits for what they brings. klein isn't just a 3rd pairing guy, he can play top 4 and averages over 18 minutes a game on a STACKED nashville blueline.
with moore going back to his normal side and having a reliable guy like klein on his side, i expect him to be joining the rush more, which as people have noted he hasn't done much as of late, and look more like the moore last year hopefully.
sad to see DZ go. really grew to like him and have always had high hopes for him ever since his rookie year but i like klein as a player and think he's pretty underrated. |

I know it is not part of his game, but I would love for J Moore to also play with more snarl. Dude can fight, 3 fights with the Rangers, and I would say he won them all. |

That's why we needed someone like Klein ... not saying he's even as mean a player as we need, but he's meaner than anyone else on our blue line. It'll be nice to see someone get dumped for bumping Hank ... |

I don't know, Nashville fans don't seem too upset by losing him. But after soaking it in a bit I think I need to actually seen Klein play before passing judgment. I guess after 2011-2012 I really had extremely high hopes for DZ and thought he'd be a great offensive blue liner and to see that hope come to an end kinda sucks. |

Skeptical cat was skeptical about this trade until I saw the image on Klein's twitter: 'Optimus Klein' (silhouette of Optimus Prime with a hockey stick)
I'm sold. |

IDK about that last one with Braydon Schenn, but I'll take points away from Schenn for punching like a sissy. |

I like that a lot about any trade, when the opposing fans all hate seeing a guy go. Def seems to be the sentiment w NASHVILLE fans & Kline. |

I thought Schenn tossed him like a rag doll, but the punches landed and the force behind the punches, I would go with J Moore. |

The more I'm starting to hear about this guy, the more I'm starting to like it, in the sense that it really balances out the D, and like xcheck said, hopefully give J Moore more room to look like he did last season. |

And Schenn throwing a roundhouse right when Moore was down & defenseless was pure Philly class. |

We'll see, I too am liking it as I hear more about Kline. Its not really Kline I'm upset about. It's that IF DZ becomes what we all think he can, we lose this trade straight up, no doubt. |

That bothers more than anything about a hockey fight, a guy throwing a punch at his opponent when they're down, I mean they're down already, its over. |

Yeah, its definitely a risk, lets hope J Moore could do what we all think DZ could have become. I think he has the tools, when he was playing his best, it was scary how much he looked like Mcd on offense.

Yeah, unless there is a history of something dirty going on, its just a cheap, gutless attempt to hurt someone. |
