i think the leafs winning their last 6 is evidence enough that point percentage doesnt mean much
a mere 6 games ago toronto was on pace for 83-84 points
now they are on pace for 93 points
thats why point percentage doesnt do much for me.. one lil hot or cold streak throws it out the window - Dozzer
In reality it's games over .500 that matters. Percentages assume that you'll stay at that percentage. If your team isn't pushing towards 10-12 games above .500 (higher in the West) then you aren't going to be watching them in the post season. |

Your kind of like the Brad Marchment of the HB board. Little jabs here and there, antagnoize the board every so often.
But....... you do keep a long thread going.

you russian pansy
first off.. mayers and hollweg? those guys arent true tough guys
secondly .. belak, rosehill, and may? not one played more than half a season.. consistency means something.. plunking one in every 3 games isnt going to do poop.
exelby was a d-man.. no use having him do that job.. it only puts the team at a disadvantage.
wilson misused the toughness at his disposal. thats why it didnt work - Dozzer
Faith is the great cop-out, the great excuse to evade the need to think and evaluate evidence. Faith is belief in spite of, even perhaps because of, the lack of evidence.

of all the canadian players under 30, NOBODY has more international experience than Nash.
but you guys all screamed about how he sucked even tho he was returning from injury lol
(frank) am i glad people who know what they're doing picked the team - Dozzer
It's true, it's also true the majority of elite Canadians have made the playoffs more than twice in an 11 season career...and weren't non-factors when actually there. |

fact is.. the leafs are far more respected league wide and fewer teams take liberties once carlyle started putting Orr back in the lineup
how you dont see this is rather surprising... i suppose you are the one blinded by faith.. faith in your belief that the only things that matter in hockey are skill and talent. that is so far from the truth you might as well call it ron hubbard
orr sitting on the bench does the same thing as him on the ice. i am sorry you cant grasp that concept. |

You're right. All the Jackets needed was a Colton Orr of their own and they would have been rolling. |

Your argument that Orr being simply in the vicinity of the ice thus teams are afraid to hit hard and throw hits on talented players is the same irrationality that purports that if the teachers at Newton had guns they would have prevented the shooter from shooting the place up.

you dont think that the opposition doesnt realize randy carlyle will put orr out there and tell him to take the bloody instigator if a team is pushing their luck?
you're damn right he would
also.. the other guys know this as well.. and play with more confidence.. some pushing and shoving and hacking and obnoxiousness is to be expected.. but after what Scott pulled in the preseason you got to recognize there are guys who will step over the line.
guess who wasnt in that game btw? |

anyways.. i'm calling it quits on this asinine argument.. part of me hopes you anti fighting guys get your way and the league becomes a figure skating competition with baton twirling instead of stick handling.

I like the pairings right now.
RC put Gards right back out after that bad pass, I was sending him to the room before it hit the back of the net
edit: and Reim's maybe coulda shoulda had that 2nd goal. - Garnie
It's good he did that. Get him past the mistake.
I saw what Gards was doing though. He thought the winger would be breaking out. Turns out he was just standing still |

I have some new mosquito repellent from a new company in my office right now. Just tried it and it's freakin awesome - haven't seen a mosquito yet. |
