Grossman had a bad game against the Islanders on Sunday, but I wouldn't get rid of him. He wasn't brought to Philly to be a smooth skating, offensive d-man, so why expect him to be one? He's a big, stay at home defender that plays a steady, but not flashy game and he "usually" clears out the front porch and blocks a lot of shots. I think he could use a rest.

Just got done shoveling and salting the driveway. This would be a good time for an Irish coffee!

Because he hasn't been doing that, either.

IMO, and I know some-including Bill Meltzer-disagree, Grossmann has been bad almost all season. He's terrible with the puck, especially in terms of decision making, and to be brutally honest, he's been bad defensively. There's been numerous times this season where he's blown coverages on goals, like the two he had against the Islanders.

He's also been taking some really ill timed and dumb penalties of late.

Big amount in one time but still, to shut down the city? Its like those damn people in Vancouver that forget how to drive when there is a big of slush on the streets.

No offense to any of you haha, but find it kind of weird.

When a city gets a storm like this once in history (the largest single-day snowfall in history--12 1/2"), it doesn't keep the resources necessary to handle it on hand. That would be wasted expense. Better to shut down for a day than have the trucks and employees needed to handle this kind of snow on a daily basis (like you probably do or Buffalo does).

Meteorologists on KYW and on The Weather Channel last night said it was the largest single-day total since records began in 18something. So I guess they lied.

I've been seeing it all season long. The last couple weeks he's been even worse.

I like the guy, but IMO he's been subpar all year, and downright brutal that last couple weeks.
