Reminds me of a story once, and this one is 100% true.

I had a friend in my younger years (He is actually a grade A scum bag) who lived off 107th ave in Edmonton. He met some young crack/meth head crying on the street and so he invited her up to his place to warm up or use the phone or some poop. As he's telling me the story I'm wondering about his motives, he is not the kinda guy that does (frank) all out of the goodness of his heart. I'm listening and listening until,as expected, he tells me how cute she would be if she was a little healthier and cleaned up a bit. So there the truth comes out, he's trying to take advantage of a young girl with serious problems to get some ass....what a scum bag.
He then tells me that she stayed at his place for a few days, but when he leaves he locks her in (one of those deadbolts that needs a key from either side-sounds like a fire hazzard but whatever). I asked if he saw anything wrong with confining a 18 year old crack head in his apartment for hours at a time, but he felt he was helping her out most the time anyway, so she shouldn't mind.

Tell me, does this guy lack a few decent qualities?

It's fine to try and help someone (I actually done this for a few girls to try and help them) but if you re just trying to get laid and locking them in you are completely (frank)ed in the head. Youre not nice If you have alternate goals for being nice other then genuinely helping that person.

Yeah, it was about that time that I figured he wasn't the kind of guy I needed to be around in my adult years. Fortunately for him, he ended up busted for drugs and spending time in the ol' Remand center, getting cozy with the guy with most cigarettes.

It's funny, when your young and your priorities are out of whack, who you might hang out with. I'm a pretty loyal guy, and we were friends since grade 2...but there comes a time when you gotta separate from the people that are no good.

I found that drugs will make you put up with your friend's poop longer than you would if you weren't on drugs. I had a couple of buddies that I had to distance myself from once I started getting my own poop together.

Yeah, hard to tell if that was writers creativity used to make it sound like Eakins has a hate on or not for Yak, but it sure seems like Oil and Vinegar there. This would a heck of a lot easier if one of 2 were happening.
1) the team was performing and leaving Yak behind
2) yak was producing at very good pace.

Neither is happening, so it makes this tough. Either way, I don't see all of Yak, Gagner, Hemmer and Ebs on the right side so maybe Yak gets another 50 or 60 games to get his value up and we say see ya later I. The hopes of landing a D.
