as a 19 year old in this league he has already proven himself to be a minimum of a 2nd line winger... he even played VERY well on the 1st line this year too.


Oh and he just set the NHL season high for hits in a game the other night...


His game now is just hte tip of the iceberg... a few more years and he gets his offensive game as polished as his forecheck and defensive game... and he is gonna be legit.

NO but to think that Zemgus is some great amazing player is just mind botteling

Hes never going to be "the guy" if he played on a 1st or 2nd line hed be the other guy on the line. Hes not a focal point, hes a player you love to have when you have real talent

Would you call TJ Oshie a 3rd liner? He's never scored 20 goals in a season.
You don't need X amount of points to be considered a top6 player.

Girgensons work along the boards and in the defensive zone, plus his willingness to go anywhere to score is an asset to any line. He will work well with whatever 2 players he is put with

Zemgus should play with a guy like Hodgson to make up for codys lack of defense.

clearly not, since he has scored more than that in his career, but if you have a player that is gonna net about 25 points his rookie year. Its not a stretch to say he is probably gonna be a 40 pt player.

Girgs will be a solid third liner....he dosen't have the scoring touch to put up more than 20 goals a year.

No it's not, and I wouldn't be suprised if he is around a 40 point player for a lot of his career.
However IMO he's a guy similar to Brown in which he will play top 6 minutes because of what he's able to do besides scoring. Girgensons IMO will be very valuable here

my opinion, best case he is Scott Hartnell. Worst case he is Matt Ellis.

I reallly think he's capable of playing anywhere on any team.

This kid develops faster than anyone I've seen. No he's not going to be an offensive dynamo, but if Milan Lucic can put up 60 points without knowing how to shoot a puck on the regular, you're damn right Godzilla can do it. Quote me on it.
