He couldn't get the best team in the eastern conference to the finals in 2007. He gave up 5 goals in game 6 of the Philly series. Enroth actually got us into the playoffs that year or he might not even have gotten the chance to play in that series. The Miller is great debate could go on forever, but the bottom line is: Why is he even here? 10 years, three playoff appearances. I give the one to Enroth because he did get us in and it would have been up in the air if Miller was in net.

I'm not saying he should or shouldn't be here but in my opinion to say he is a proven playoff failure is inaccurate. The year we lost to Carolina, we had 4 or 5 AHL defensemen in the lineup the last few games and the year we lost to Ottawa, the team struggled the whole playoffs and we were horribly outplayed by Ottawa.

Unless a team loses a goalie to injury, it could be a two horse race for Miller and that might push up the price to acquire him, ya never know. If the Av's lose Varlamov or the Wild lose Backstrom to injury, I could see those teams getting in the mix but I think at this point he's St. Louis bound.

Josh Harding has overtaken Backstrom's job in Minny. I like Harding, I give him a ton of respect playing with MS and putting up the numbers he has is awesome. He's been out the last little while but he'll be back and Backstrom I think is hurt again they've been playing Kuemper.

Minny might be an interesting spot potentially for Miller. Like fitz said, they have prospects they could move in trade and with possibly Vanek signing there, Miller would sign as well. I think they have the cap space to do all of that and if we could get Coyle or Granlund for a signed Miller in Minny, great.

Miller is what he is. A goalie who got his team to the playoffs 3 times in 10 years. A 4 time series winning goalie. What that is worth in the open market, we will see.
