I regret that I was in Nashville last year but I was there with 10 college students at a conference and had to be "responsible" so I went to the bars on Broadway, went to dinner at a few places but stayed completely sober.

Sabres cant trade Ehrhoff. They could be facing a $10M cap penalty if he doesnt finish his contract on another team. Cant take that risk.

And why, would any player even consider retirement?
With contracts being guarenteed, there's absolutely no reason to.
At worst they can go play in the AHL, or some European league and still get paid their full salary by their NHL team, or be bought out... In which case, we are still off the hook

I boycott the NFL from time to time in my household because of incidents like these that never seem to stop happening with NFL players.
Last year I would not allow not one television in my home to be tuned into the Superbowl.
I never watched it last year and if anyone wanted to in my home, they needed to go out to do so.

My latest example,
Having Ville Leino thrown out of the bar I work at for being a complete f-ing scumbag! Long story short, was WAY outta line w a couple girls I work with. Propositioning, grabbing inappropriately, etc...
When turned down, repeatedly, offered them $ like they were freaking prostitutes. As he's being escorted (physically) out of the bar, he shouted "I'll leave, just give me one of the girls!"

It's not just football players
You prob hear about it more w football, but there's also A LOT more college & pro players than there r NHLers... And u don't really hear about minor league hockey guys unless they're highly touted

it's no secret how much I like Ekblad if we miss out on Reinhart, but...

I think it's clear that the kid is a stellar junior player, but putting his stats up here after every game doesn't prove that he's ready to be a pro. Leino can't be buried in juniors.. no sense comparing the two.

Just keeping things in perspective.
'Franchise player' is a term saved for great players.
Myers is not even close to that.
He has shown these little flashes before and then went into the crapper tripping on his own feet on the ice (baby giraffing it).
I have just cause to be very skeptical especially when a term like 'franchise player' is being tossed around.

MFE replaced him near the end of the game. They're just stuck with Leino for now. Next season Grigo will be in Roch and hopefully Leino will be gone.

Not comparing just stating a guy that could be waived let sit till end of year and let a kid play in a complete rebuild. A kid with elite talent
