Reinhart and Nylander in this years draft sounds amazing.

I hope the NYI give us this pick TBH. If it is a "weak" draft as perceived we should be able to move up.

I'm interested in seeing where Kapanen and Nylander sit. For all we know this Kapanen kid could be in the top 4 or 5 mix as well.

Doan's my favorite capper on that list. Call me old fashioned but I like vets as captains.

1-Simply your opinion here that since Nylander was ranked way higher at the beginning of the year you'd rather have him than Kapanen

2-You're a (frank)ing rebel going against the CSS.

3-Kapanen is less of the type of player you want than Nylander.

The fact is that many of these younger kids are given the C purely because they are the best players on their team. Generally the younger you are, the less mature you are and the less you know about leadership. Those are things you learn with time and experience.

Guys like Toews are the exception to the rule because they are young and show leadership beyond their years. But on your list above, half the guys would be the exact same player whether they were captain or not. Certainly an arguement can be made that giving them the C will shape them due to the added responsibility. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer, it depends on the player, the team, and the circumstance.

I'd say Toews Zetterberg chara are the three best captains in the NHL. They exude leadership in every sense of the word.

Giordano is proving to be a good captain as well.

A) I follow ISS so going 5 vs 12 in their rankings

B) I am A Loner Dottie A F-ing Rebel

C) Nylander is more complete right now as we speak and is a center

D) I think both will eventualy fall around pick 10

E) Kapenen is less of what I like overal (neither I need for this team) but for the Sabres between the two go with Nylander.

What has Kapenen done realy well?

IMO, Reinhart is the best option for Buffalo. If they can somehow manage two top 10 picks in this draft it would go a long way.
