5 years of university turned into me slaving on a rig
1 year of trade school turned into me sleeping half the time for 6 figures.
- robin_steele264
I hear that... I can't complain though... I made 6 figures in the tech industry thanks to university... and well, a lot more now in the oil and gas industry... |

Is HVAC your trade? I went to uni, while my best bud went to college for 2 years before starting his HVAC apprenticeship. He was banking 6 figures not long after. I've caught up salary wise, but he got a 5-6 year head start on me.
Then again, he didn't get to enjoy the 2 extra years of debauchery that is college/uni life. |

A "JVR" all over again?? - Fruitcakenipple
Wonder how many Flyer fans will say they would do that trade again in a heartbeat just to save face? There can't be a single one who digs that deal. |

Possibly SJ with Thornton, Pavelski and Couture, but I don't see them trading any of the three, that's why I didn't mention it.
I don't think the Edmonton rumors make sense, since Gagner makes almost $2M more than Kadri and is not much better, if at all. I'm not sure Yakupov would be a fit in Toronto(non-center). Burke would love to get him in Calgary, but the only thing I could see the Leafs having interest in from them is Monahan(who they will not trade) or their 2014 first. - mikeinbuffalo
Kadri might get moved but not until next summer... |

Exactly.
He was traded for JvR.
Leafs fans (extremely overvaluing assets as always) cried about getting ripped off.
JvR outperformed Schenn, and now it's a brilliant trade. |

Not one. The only thing was that our defense would have actually been (somehow) more horrible last year without Schenn. But I doubt more than 3 would do it again. |

Theres always gonna be minimum wage work available, fast food, retail, waitressing etc etc.
So yes you could be done school by 15 get out in the workforce learn valuable lessons and responsibility then move into a career.
In Grade 12 my first semester was Trip Gym, regular gym, fitness, lunch, French (I speak it fluently it was a joke course for me going to an English school) and a spare.
How am I preparing myself for higher learning lol |
