I still can't believe what one year has done to Burke...look at that picture, he's aged 15 years.

He's had a lot on his plate with suing anonymous internet posters to make sure nobody knows the truth about him and that fugly whore of sportscaster.

most of the stuff taught in University is useless.

if you specialize for a particular job, then it'll likely pay off.

But we are sending WAYYYY too many kids to university to earn degree's for jobs that dont exist.

Need way more emphasis on trades school.

I have a degree and a trade.

Agreed... and me too... two degrees... and well, two trades... dafuq

My thought is that the Leafs are looking to package Kadri and another forward or defenseman to get a #1 center. It would have to be a team that might have too many first-line capable centers and for salary structure's sake, would want a player like Kadri who is under contract and more in line with being a second/third liner.

Colorado fits that perfectly, with Duchene making $6M, O'Reilly making $5 Million playing out of position(on Duchene's wing) and becoming an RFA in the summer, a pending UFA in Stastny having a comeback season and a talented rookie in Nathan MacKinnon, but this is pure speculation and not something I've heard.

The only problem is Kadri really doesnt fit anywhere.

If the avs are so jammed at center, why would they trade for another.

5 years of university turned into me slaving on a rig

1 year of trade school turned into me sleeping half the time for 6 figures.

Kardi will get traded.
He will bring in a fantastic return.
Leafs fans will complain tirelessly about the horrible trade.
When the assets outperform Kadri, Leafs fans will say how great the trade was.

Would imagine Stastny would be the one they looking to move...No way should leafs deal Kadri for him...
Maybe if they can get Stastny FA this summer than u look to move kadri for another asset..

My issue with the education system is theres no reason we need to spend a quarter of our lives in school. Its insane.

This makes sense but the other asset will arguably be a winger or a defender and that asset will have to be a darn decent one for a team like the avs or another team to let go of one of their top 3 centers. I also have another scenario in mind and that is in the mix with the sharks as well. Sharks are loaded up the middle, Pavelski or Thorton could be an option as well.

Possibly SJ with Thornton, Pavelski and Couture, but I don't see them trading any of the three, that's why I didn't mention it.

I don't think the Edmonton rumors make sense, since Gagner makes almost $2M more than Kadri and is not much better, if at all. I'm not sure Yakupov would be a fit in Toronto(non-center). Burke would love to get him in Calgary, but the only thing I could see the Leafs having interest in from them is Monahan(who they will not trade) or their 2014 first.

What would you suggest?

Think you can train kids to be ready for a professional career and the responsibilities of adulthood by 15?
