You don't win with good players. Kessel is a good player. JVR is a good player. Phaneuf is a good player. It takes more than good players and potential. A lot more. Every time has and will have good players. It really means nothing when looking at a couple guys individually. It's a team game.

They did yes. But with Chicago, Ducks, Canes and Pens...those guys not only drafted stars, they insulated them with key stars and/or veterans. They didnt jump the gun like Oils and Islanders by making them the prime players and throwing them to the wolves to win games on their talent alone.
