... and upon reading this ridiculously moronic (but hopefully sarcastic) statement, I'm out of here.

go Flyers.

I will say it again. I don't know what Vinny is doing for this team right now. Yea he had the GWG the other night. When has his line looked good besides the first 15 games or so? If I'm Berube Downie showed me enought tonight to reunite the Downie-Cooter-Read line. And Raffl is still the better option on the first line. Doing alot of things.

Does Berube have the balls to put Vinny on the 4th line? I'm not sure even Berube has those kahonas.

Imagine if we had Nashvilles D unit. We'd be up there with the Chicagos and Anaheims

From the start, of when it went into the league I wouldn't be surprised if they were in the bottom 5.

I'm trying to think of another team in the NHL that has had all 6 of their regular d-men be the worst on the team for stretches of time during this season.

Very movable contract when the cap goes up. Until then he is a real good guy to have on such a young team.

He is the black cloud on the wing. Think about how he made Schenn and Simmonds look while on their line. Think about why and when Cooters 5 on 5 effectiveness has dipped.

Btw the goalie in the machine gun commercial was Niko Hovinen, he who the Flyers snatched up and was a total flop. I wish Sunshine was with the Phantoms

flyers up 1-0 and playing well in the first 10-12 min....then the obligatory 5 on 3 pp for the road team, another couple bad giveaways and down 2-1 after 1. mez with the sleek move to tie it up w/ less than 10 seconds left in period 2. didn't see they 3-2 goal but simmonds with the tip under minute left to play to send it to OT and eventually the SO

mez has looked a bit shaky defensively, but i feel like he has at least one rush or drive a game for you guys that is absolutely great. then he just fades back in. still though, nashville is a tough team to pot them on. once they get a lead its tough. at least you pulled out the one point. pens have a very slow stretch right now, gonna have to be living vicariously through flyer games

raffl was also robbed on a ridiculous open net in the 2nd that would have tied the score. failed to score on the ensuing pp. puck also beat hutton and off the post and trickled wide twice. once in the 3rd and once again in OT. flyers could have just as well won this game. but didn't. in the SO. shocking.

Can cry about the shootout sucking, and it not being a real part of the game.

However to be this poopty at it, is unacceptable.

Hard fought game, really able to see the strengths and limitations of the team.

i'm tired of the super slow, dipsy-do bullpoop attempts, like G's tonight. literally didn't move the puck, fell down, and shot right into hutton's stick blade. it's infuriating.

yeah i dont know why you guys struggle at it. you guys have more skill now than in recent memory. giroux has crazy hands. he should be awesome at it. sometimes he sure looks it. a healthy vinny should be fine. voracek. read.

The Flyers started hot, were pumping shots on Hutton for the first ten minutes or so, got a goal and looked good. Then they got stuck in their own end after a bad turnover and had a breakdown that ended up tying the game.

Then another bad turnover by Voracek, led to Giroux taking a tripping penalty, and 45 seconds into the PP, Timonen hit Josi from behind making it a 5 on 3. a few seconds after the Giroux penalty expired, Legwand scored on a sweet cross ice pass to make it 2-1. VandeVelde had a chance to clear on the PK and failed, which basically screwed the Flyers up.

The second saw the Preds press hard, but the Flyers got a really late goal from Meszaros. He made a sweet move and tied it with 4 seconds left.

The preds had a bit more jump in the third, but it was even for the most part. Grossmann tapped a pass to Schenn in the neutral zone, but he didn't get his stick down and Hornqvist skated into it, and was opened up.

Nashville scored on the resulting PP. At that point the Flyers pressed harder than the Preds, who tried to sit on the lead. Couple of dumb penalties led to chances for the Flyers and they got the late goal from Simmonds to tie it.

In the OT the Flyers seemed to be trying to play for the shootout, believe it or not. They didn't really press the forecheck much at all & both teams had chances in the OT.

IMO, the Flyers got a point they didn't deserve. They played a dumb undisciplined game and got outworked badly at points. Mason, stats wise looked meh, but he didn't have much chance on any of the goals and made a lot of big momentum stops to keep it close or tied throughout the game.

Most disappointed in the effort level and the lack of discipline.

They didn't even use Voracek...they let Simmonds & Raffl shoot before him.

g either snipes or fails miserably. vinny generally goes backhand in tight, and usually gets stopped. voracek didn't even get a shot 8 guys in. ridiculous. instead giraffe legs simmonds, who's terrible at them gets selected instead. mason made 5 straight saves and loses. bryz didn't make 5 SO saves all of last season.

I didn't read back (I was at the game) and I'm sure someone mentioned it, but how, exactly was that whole play not the definition of a penalty shot?

Raffl was in the clear, and had a scoring opportunity going in on net and Legwand's penalty encumbered him.

Someone please explain.

I still can't effing believe that.

I was fine with Raffl. He won a game with a SO move.

Simmer's work during the SO ain't been good.
