Why not? Everybody knows Cammy can score. He's a pure goal scorer who can work well with a plethora of players and if Calgary eats 3 million in cap hit then you get a top 6, possibly even top 3 (depending on the team and situation) player at a steal of a price.
I'm not saying Cammy gets you the world but at the same time, for a team looking to go far in the playoffs, I bet he gets a better return than Iggy did no problem. - Talking_hockey1
Yikes. Cammy won't get a return like you suggest. He's a one dimensional top 6 forward. It will in all likelihood be a combination of prospects and picks. The way to make those picks and prospects better is to take back a bad contract in the deal.

Should get the most exciting player in the NHL .The only player I know of that dictates how the other team plays . Jordin TooToo |

Iggy got two decent probably b or c level prospects and a first, I don't think it's unreasonable to think he'll get more than that, especially at $3 million. Besides he does play D, it's not like he's a defensive liability. He puts up points and for a team hoping to go on a long playoff run, that can be very valuable. Even to a team looking for scoring to push for a playoff spot. You really think he's any worse than Vanek? maybe a bit smaller but other than that not much different, and look what Buffalo got for him. |

what about Cammalieri to St. Louis for Ty Rattie and a conditional 2nd round pick? Conditions being either him resigning with the Blues or meeting certain performance standards for the playoffs. Ty Rattie would be a good fit for Calgary, he has top 6 potential as well as a previous experience with Sven Baertschi in Portland. He's also from Calgary so thats a plus and St. Louis gets a scoring boost for the playoff run. What do you guys think? |

Don't think Rattie is big enough for Burke's liking. I really hope the Pitsburgh rumours have some truth in them I think both Despres a 6'4 214 lbs young dman, and Bennet a 6'2 207 lbs winger would be perfect for our rebuild, and allow us to get bigger. Maybe a Cammy package gets both of them? |

We can only hope
You think snow would do Cammy and Stajan for Tavares? |

The flames do not have to ask Cammi for a list. He has a NTC, not a NMC. He already submitted his list in the summer. From what i have heard it's a list of 10 teams he would not go to. I could easily think of 10 teams he would not go to before Ott or LA. |

That would have to be one hell of a package, not to mention Burke would need to buy a whole lot of wool to pull over Pittsburgh's eyes. |

Situations change, they may have to ask him to re-submit a list in case there is a team he had on his list (say a team like Tampa) that he may not mind going to now and visa versa. |

That's not the vibe Pens fans are throwing out, in their board Galiardi was mentioned for one of them
Edit: C'mon they should cut us some slack for basically handing them Iginla last year |

Wait Cammi was diagnosed with a concussion? The kings (and the rest of the league) won't be going for him them so who else would the flames give up? |

Cammi has a limited no trade. So CGY can trade him anytime they want so long as it's not to one of the teams he's allowed to say no to. I wonder if MIN would consider swapping Coyle for Cammi. They need a bit more scoring it seems lately and Coyle hasn't been lighting it up.
Cammi and depth and/or money kept or bad contract (Cammi &Butler) for Coyle conditional 2nd? |

He should be back soon...we can basically make everyone available except monohan giordano, and Hudler in my opinion. |

Mono and Gio...Hudler is available at the right price. And Cammy will get a 1st+ or a top level prospect. The guys shot is money if playing with the right play maker and his playoff numbers speak for themselves |

And if nobody is willing to part with that for Cammy than you'll just re-sign him right? |

Only way I am okay with huds being traded is if Burke somehow makes the Phaneuf trade pretty even by comparison |

IMO, not for a rental player...maybe if he was signed beyond this year at a good hit, didnt (just) experience a concussion, and was a little bigger. But not given his overall situation will he get a first + a decent prospect. I hope Im wrong, though. |

Couldn't think of a better veteran to impart lessons on not giving up. Gio went undrafted, improved his play (while not giving up as an undrafted OHL veteran) enough to get signed, got told there wasn't a spot for him on the team, took his game to the K (slayed some hot eastern euro a$$), earned himself a 3rd pairing spot following his return, worked on his game until he became our best defenseman, and now is a couple injuries away from an Olympic roster spot.
What could we possibly get that would be more valuable? If we trade all of our players like that we're going to flounder like the Oilers have. - fry
