Worst possible scenario? I think we should re-sign the (frank)in guy anyway. If the best we can get is a 3rd round pick (as per the intrernets) then the worse case scenerio is we are out a 3rd round pick.

It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities that he is done for the rest of the season though. Considering he hasn't played a full season ever in his career, closest being 81 games back in 05-06 season.

I couldn't help but catch part of SC yesterday and it happened to be the part where Dreger suggests that the Oilers have interest in Cam Ward. He then proceeded to suggest that acquiring Ward would cost something like Eberle+. I know I'm a little biased, but HOW exactly? Sure he has been a real solid starter throughout the majority of his career and he isn't exactly old, but, considering his recent injury history and drop-off in play, wouldn't you think his trade value has been affected similar to how Hemsky's has been (apparently only worth a 3rd these days)? Not to mention he's still under contract at 6.3 million for another 2 years.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not suggesting Hemsky is worth Cam Ward, but I'm feeling like there's a strange hypocrisy here. Am I wrong?
