You forgot to add in his comments about firing Klowe.
- ChetManly

As soon as we fire KLowe I anticipate us acquiring Weber in exchange for Taylor Fedun, Nuge gaining 15 pounds of muscle and Gagner getting 15% better in the FO circle and winning the Selke.

Just stream it illegally homie. I got fed out with the Halifax blackouts on everything that wasn't a Leafs game
- Morris

that's weird, it's just the opposite now. we get teh habs and sens before the leafs games. i think the order of priority is 1. habs 2. sens 3. leafs

That sounds about right. Poor guy will never play again, just like Marc Savard.

Cloutier dedicated quite a few post HB blogs ripping Eklund and HB apart.

except if you're a sens fan, cuz their regional contract with sportsnet is up at the end of this year, and the rumour is that TSN is salivating at the mouth to get the contract.

bad news.....i live in halifax

- sensarmy_11

Halifax was crap for hockey for a long time, nothing other than Toronto or Montreal games. And it was usually only on CBC. I haven't watched a game back home in a long time, I moved away 6 years ago. Although, now with the upgrading for fibe TV and such, Sportsnet West is great, only because of the additional game choices. Commenting is always the worst lol.

Here's hoping that TSN gets to pick up the Sens contract!

no lindback. neuvirth is an interesting option. edm should inquire how is the orlov and neuvirth drama coming along.

there's alot of talk about ward's health. i think hurricanes are beginning to show concern about his ability to stay healthy for the remainder of the contract.

- deks1

I don't want anything to do with Ward. We should be looking at only Khudobin from Carolina. But I agree on seeing what we can do for a trade to get Orlov and Neuvirth.

Probably get more than that. He's been an efficient vet bottom pairing d-man. I don't even know that I move him though. What are we gaining by making our team worse?

Depends on what's being offered. Do you think the Oilers are intent on re-signing him anyway?

Yost tweeted a graph yesterday or the day before, breaking down d-men based on his advanced stats. based on that schultz was actually one of the worst d-men in the leauge this season.

0 g, 3 pts, -16, and one of the worst corsi ratings of any d-man, 3.5mil cap hit.....makes me think his value is pretty low

I don't know, but I don't want to start unloaded vets for mid round draft picks. Especially when frustration levels are getting pretty high from the guys that you want to keep here going forward. Not a good message to send to the players that want to stay. Be different if we are either getting a 1st for a guy or we have a guy in the AHL ready to steal a spot, but we don't.

Shocking a guy that plays on the worse defense in the league doesn't look good. The problem with those stats is it doesn't do anything to get rid of the horrid start he had.

clearly you haven't seen any leaf games.

i'm just saying, poor stats (advanced and traditional) mixed with relatively high cap hit, probably leads to low trade value.

I feel like if Schultz fetched a Douglas Murray price of two 2nds it'd be pretty tempting.

But yeah, I agree that no one wants to see us selling hard any longer. And MacT likely won't do that anyway.

Hemsky might go.

I don't think MacT will be shopping hard aside from Hemsky and maybe Gagner. But I can see trades happening if the return is right for some of the veteran guys. I can also see Jones being shipping out at the deadline.

Is it too early to start speculating about the draft? I think it's more frustrating that we are still at this position.

You are right. Petry, j.schultz, and marincin need to be paired with veterans, not another rookie. The worst thing is for edm to be trading veterans and left with nothing but rookies and they are overwhelmed.

I would trade n.schultz if there is a suitable return.

Gotta disagree with your assessment of Hendricks, yes he works hard and is physical, but he's been a bad possession player and not exactly an efficient plyer either(usually serviceable players are one of the two, players who don't need to be good possession players to be successful or players that are decent possession players). He's 32 and has 3 full years still left at 1.85, not a big cap hit, but someone you guys will likely be complaining about within a year. Would have been better off acquiring a pick or a project young player.

Dubnyk IMO can still be a decent goalie, but he probably needed a change. Scrivens or a 3rd is a good pickup, I'm sure he'll get extended.

I like the 2nd trade, the 1st trade not so much.

- Nucker101

Are you nervous for the Sedin sisters that Hendricks might destroy them physically? Oh wait that happened at the hands of the Ducks yesterday

If 2nd's is the case then that's a different story. As for Hemmer, I sooner move him as I think you can justify giving Yak and Perron more ice time.

Should just fire Ryan (since he doesn't even really write that much in the first place and he sucks anyways) and hire me. All my blogs will be specifically tailored to piss off Jeropotato.
