I'm not denying that we can do better than Gagner(I like the Plek idea) and for TT it would have to be a package deal aka not straight-up. But I could see this happening if Edmonton doesn't overvalue him and because of the Kane connection.

Gagner squeezed an exhorbitant contract out of McTavish and a promise that he wouldn't be traded. Bowman has a similar player, who may be better than Gagner already, coming from Finland soon to play on a cap friendly entry level deal.

Frankly... it's bullpoop.

JJ isn't a beat writer for the team, he's not tugging on Rocky's ballsac. The guy has brought up rumors in the past and broke stories about the team in the past. I fully believe that the trade - at the very least - was indeed discussed.

I agree that JJ was told about the trade discussion and that he believed his source. I can't go as far as to say I believe the trade was discussed. It was indeed a cheap shot by Kuc; though he did not mention who had disseminated the rumor.

My personal belief is that we have the solution to the 2C situation, we just won't get him until the end of this season or next year (more realistically). Stan should stand pat with TT and make a minor deal to solidify the 4th line.

No not really. Only that he stood out in the german league years ago and back then was the one of 3 Goc brothers who had the potential to make it to the NHL. He made it and I'd say established himself in the league. Also only heard that he is a reliable player, but I don't really follow him as I spend most of the time on Hawks talk and games .
