I'll take Goc as a short-term rental. He checks a lot of boxes and would cost less. Bjugstad and Matthias suck at the dot and average less SHTOI than Goc (who is also 54% at the dot).

They definitely need to work on their draws but we have the best teacher. I like Goc and it won't take a whole lot, but I always like hockey trades. I still want to do a trade for someone to help Now and later. Younger players who are ok now and have a lot of upside

Plus Bergevin. The Habs scout really liked him. I guy I really like there is Lars Eller. He keeps getting better and is more competitive now. Probably not available, though.

How do you guys judge Marcel Goc as possible 2C. His name is mentioned here sometimes, but I cannot judge his performance for the Panthers good enough and if he'd be able to fill that vacancy at 2C for the Hawks?

Plek would make a great #2. He can put up offense with either Kane or Hossa and is great defensively. It would really help our chances now. And I know that is the main goal. But to me I still want to target young players that are in the nhl now and become very good for a long time here. I'm sure many would do it, but he is just too old for me. I am always leery of good players on bad teams. See Weiss.
